Emaar’s Tower woos wealthy Britons

Wealthy Britons with a taste for luxury are being invited to buy property in and around a new super-skyscraper in the UAE which will be one of the world’s tallest towers when it is complete.

Dubai developer Emaar Properties has appointed Harrods Estates to market its Dubai Creek Harbour and its centerpiece skyscraper The Tower to interested investors from the UK.

At over 827 m high, The Tower will be taller than the Burj Khalifa by Emaar, currently the world’s tallest building since 2009. It will only be exceeded in height by the Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia, which will be a kilometre tall on completion in 2019.

Construction of the $1-billion super-tower will start in July 2016 for completion in four years’ time, ahead of the Dubai World Expo in 2020.

Residents will be able to sleep, shop, eat and socialise within the new super-tower, and enjoy unrivalled sky top views.

The Tower will contain a boutique hotel and the 20 uppermost floors will provide shops, restaurants, function rooms and VIP observation garden decks

There will be a spectacular main observation deck known as The Pinnacle Room, which will have fully glazed rotating balconies that extend outward, rotating outside the main skin of the tower

Harrods Estates will market the apartments, villas and penthouses at the mega-project to London residents looking for a holiday home, Dubai pied-a-terre or rental investment, says Emaar.

London is a key market for the Dubai developer with more than 19,000 UK nationals now owning property in Dubai.

Emaar also points out that entry level homes at Dubai Creek Harbour average £260 ($382) per sq ft, compared to £2,000 ($2,935) per sq ft for luxury homes in Prime Central London

Located along the historic Dubai Creek, Dubai Creek Harbour forms a spectacular six-sq-km waterfront destination, creating the “Riviera of the Middle East”. The development showcases The Tower, the architectural centerpiece of the development

Dubai Creek Harbour will provide over 6.79 million sq. m of residential accommodation including villas, apartments and penthouses, 11.16 million sq m of retail precincts providing shops, cafes and restaurants, 851,000 sq m of commercial property and 22 hotels providing 4,400 rooms.

It is made of nine distinct districts, including the central Island District, within the waters of the creek. The island features a 4.5-km promenade, yacht club, world-class marina and harbour, hotels, retail and leisure facilities.

The builder of the Burj Khalifa, Emaar Properties is also showcasing the Dubai Creek Harbour and The Tower, at Harrods department store in London.

A new 2,000-sq-ft marketing suite on the second floor of the department store features large scale-models of the flagship mega-development Downtown Dubai as well as Dubai Creek Harbour, Dubai Hills Estate and The Opera District. The suite will be in Harrods until mid August 2016, providing a “must see” attraction for visitors.

Also, for a limited time on the ground floor of Harrods, Emaar has a stunning window display, which will draw the attention of the 75,000 people who pass by the store each day. One of the windows showcases a scale model of Dubai Opera, the country’s first multi-format theatre. Two other windows display the masterplans and visual imagery of The Opera District whilst a fourth artistically depicts ballerinas performing on stage.
