Fancy island-hopping in the Caribbean this summer? Mandarin Oriental’s first resort in the region has launched two exclusive luxury packages for discerning holidaymakers.
The Pink Sands Club, Canouan (which will be rebranded Mandarin Oriental, Canouan soon) boasts a dreamy setting of glass-clear seas, powdery sand beaches and vibrant greenery. It is located on the small island of Canouan, in the Grenadines archipelago.
Part of the Caribbean archipelago of St Vincent and the Grenadines (which is made up of 32 isles and cays that also comprise Mustique and Palm Island), Canouan only measures five square miles across – but is made up of 1,200 lush acres and is home to a large coral reef. To navigate the vast estate at Pink Sands Club, Canouan, guests are escorted in golf buggies (while villa guests have their own to use throughout their stay).
Surrounded by one of the Caribbean’s largest living coral reefs, the resort is perfectly secluded but offers plenty of activities and fabulous dining, making it a top destination for a supremely relaxing stay in an exclusive suite or villa.
The resort elegantly blends colonial and chic contemporary styles among its lavish suites and stylishly sophisticated villas. Built with impeccable attention to detail, the resort features a selection of restaurants that serve a variety of international culinary delights in beautifully appointed settings.
The packages include:
•Land & Sea in Luxury: Tourists can experience all Canouan Island and St Vincent and The Grenadines have to offer with this package. They can enjoy four nights in a new chic two-bedroom Patio Villa that will accommodate up to six people. Located near the top of the resort’s landscaped hillside to capture the most captivating views, the spacious Patio Villas make for the perfect relaxing vacation home.
The package also includes a private yacht charter for seven nights of island-hopping with Churchill Yacht Partners, a charter company renowned for its exceptional service and exclusive collection of luxury megayachts.
Fully-crewed vessels from Churchill Yachts’ collection include the 130’ Westport motor yacht named Far Niente, the 99’ Pura Vida Moonen motor yacht, and the 116’ Holland Jachtbouw sailing sloop, Whisper. Itineraries are customised to include visits to a selection of islands such as Bequia, Mustique, the Tobago Cays, Mayreau, Petit St Vincent and Grenada.
The package also covers complimentary wifi; Pirates Kids’ Club access; watersports; fitness activities; and daily honour bar.
Land & Sea in Luxury package rates start at $62,000 plus operating expenses. This offer, available from June 1 2018 through to May 31, 2019, is subject to availability, blackout dates and cannot be combined with other offers.
To ensure preferred dates of arrival, guests are encouraged to confirm Grenadine Airways’ availability for flights to Canouan before booking flights to Barbados or St Lucia, says a resort spoeksman.
• Jet Away & Play package: This package makes getting to the resort half the fun. Visitors can experience the luxury and convenience of a private jet flight to Canouan from Miami with Air Charter Service (ACS), the world’s largest global aircraft charter company.
Guests will enjoy seven indulgent nights in an elegant, colonial-style one-bedroom suite with time to relax and indulge in all the resort has to offer, including the spa, a collection of fine restaurants and bars, an 18-hole championship golf course, complimentary night-lit tennis courts, and a selection of idyllic beaches.
Jet Away & Play package rates start at $52,000 based on ACS jet service between Canouan Island and Miami (Opa Locka, Florida (OPF) airport on a mid-size jet for up to eight passengers. Other jet types and flights from other departure destinations such as London and New York City are available at prevailing rates. This offer is also available from June 1, 2018 through May 31, 2019.
SEA VIEW SPA
With Mandarin Oriental’s renowned reputation for legendary spas around the world, Pink Sands Club’s Spa doesn’t disappoint with sea view, en suite treatment palapas and therapists meticulously trained to relax, sooth and decompress.
Canouan Island’s immaculate beaches, championship 18-hole, Fazio-designed golf course and luxury superyacht marina provide guests with a wide range of activities to be enjoyed with Mandarin Oriental’s legendary service and warm welcoming smiles that bring a new level of hospitality to the Caribbean.
Keep an eye out for the tortoises: Canouan means ‘the island of tortoises’ and you will see many of these friendly creatures making their way across the grounds. But the very first thing you’ll want to do is step onto the main terrace and gaze out at the turquoise sea down below. The ground floor suites all have screen doors that open directly onto the beach.
