Bulgari has released three new watches in its Diva collection that are round, opulent and sensual, simple yet sophisticated, and resolutely Bulgari.
Bulgari and Rome have been inseparable for over a hundred and thirty years. The
elegance and supremacy of the Italian capital has always been an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the maison.
The Diva design, inspired by the Caracalla thermal baths, now adopts a softer yet creative approach and evolves into a simpler yet sophisticated version.
After composing an arc of multi-coloured gems nestling together like petals and creating a corolla of stones dancing around the dial, the three new Diva models adopt a calmer yet equally creative approach.
The emblematic Diva motif, the finely gem set fan now serves as the strap lug and connects the dainty circular case in 18-karat pink or white gold to the satin strap.
The new Diva watches come either with a dial entirely set with brilliant-cut diamonds, or with an unexpected choice of dial texture: the acetate.
This sophisticated aesthetic highlights the use of a sturdy high-tech material that involves heating a natural cotton and wood fibre mix to produce acetate. The robust, organic material is then cut into fine strips that are treated and polished to form dials that are each entirely unique in terms of their texture and design.
The process resulting in a unique random appearance enables the Diva watches to
display an original two-tone striated brown and speckled white face.
All watches are water resistant to 30 m.
Introduced as part of its Autumn 2015 offerings, the three references reaffirm the strength of the symbol, says Bulgari.
