Al Mahmood Pearls, a name synonymous with the pearling industry in Bahrain, will unveil an exclusive new collection, made solely for the occasion, at the upcoming Jewellery Arabia 2015.
Jewellery Arabia will take place from November 24 to 28 at the Bahrain International Exhibition & Convention Centre under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of Bahrain.
The new collection from Al Mahmood Pearls, one of the most renowned jewellery showrooms for pearls in the Middle East, will feature its famed, personally collected, hand crafted precious Bahraini pearls.
Al Mahmood Pearls Group general manager Mohamed Al Mahmood said: “With Jewellery Arabia being the venue for the showcasing of the largest display of luxury items and technology in this industry in the Middle East, it is the perfect place for us to be launching our exquisite new collection that was made solely for this occasion.
“The new line-up was made to impress even the classiest and most tasteful connoisseur and we look forward to be sharing with our visitors the fruits of our commitment to tailoring our products to match the scale, scope and grandiose nature of the exhibition,” he adds.
In 1982, Abdul Razak Al Mahmood established his first pearl Jewellery showroom in Bahrain’s old souq and today, Al Mahmood Pearls showrooms can be found in some of the most prestigious locations in the kingdom.
The establishment draws expertise from a tradition that is more than a century old. When pearl diving industry was at its peak, Abdul Razak Al Mahmood’s father had the prestigious job of a ‘tawash’ of a pearl diving team. His insights acquired through years of experience stayed within the family and this is one of the reasons why Al Mahmood Pearls is the leading dealer of the natural pearls in Bahrain, says the company.
Abdul Razak Al Mahmood’s expertise in the field is undisputed and this fact was sealed by the then Amir of Bahrain HH Shaikh Isa Bin Al Khalifa in 1998, who presented him with the title ‘Shaikh of Pearls’.
At Al Mahmood Pearls, one can discover the alluring magic of natural pearls, which are directly purchased from divers. Each pearl is encased in breathtaking designs created by a team of highly skilled and artistic professionals in Al Mahmood Pearls’ own workshop.
Over the years, Al Mahmood Pearls has also gained the distinction of being the sole distributor of some of the world’s most famous watch brands and diamond embellished jewellery.
The five-day Jewellery Arabia spectacular will feature over 600 exhibitors from 30 nations who will spread their precious array across an area of 18,000 sq m. On display will be a huge range of finished jewellery, luxury timepieces, precious stones, antiques, objets d’art, jewellery packaging and technology from across the globe.
The 23rd edition of Jewellery Arabia that was held in 2014 attracted over 50,000 visitors, 30 per cent of the total of which were drawn from the region’s single largest jewellery market, Saudi Arabia, with significant support also coming from Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, the UAE and other neighbouring countries.
