Top-notch jewellery brands and regional and international retailers will wow buyers with their latest collections at the Dubai International Jewellery Week in Dubai next week.
Meeting the unprecedented demand for fine jewellery, precious stones, diamonds, pearls and watches, more than 250 exhibitors from 25 countries are gearing up to showcase their inspirational collections and one-of-a-kind pieces debuting during the show.
Over 20,000 visitors are expected to attend the 20th anniversary of the iconic jewellery event, which takes place from December 9 to 12 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
One of the world’s rarest pink pearls from the Caribbean sea; an innovation that helps diamonds to sparkle even more; and a collection with designs created like a blossoming flower are just some of the show-stopping pieces appearing from the region’s hottest jewellery designers at the show.
Visitors can expect to find a wide range of stunning pieces and will also have the opportunity to preview 2016 collections from local and regional exhibitors from some of the region’s finest jewellery houses.
With more than 80 product categories on display, from high grade diamond, gold and platinum creations, alongside pearls, bridal jewellery and coloured gemstones, there is certain to be something for everyone.
Collectors can also expect to discover a number of watches, objects d’art and limited edition items during the four-day event. The collections will be showcased alongside attractive incentives and offers from jewellery retailers, and attendees will have the opportunity to take advantage of special end-of-year offers during the show.
Jewellers who will be attending include UAE companies such as Dhamani Jewels, Mahallati Jewellery, Al Masaood Jewellery, and Renee Jewellers. They will be joined by regional jewellers including Seham’s Collection (Bahrain), Nsouli (Lebanon), Kanz Al - Sahra Jewellery (Saudi Arabia) and Izmirian Group (Jordan).
With many local exhibitors expected to launch new collections for the first time during the event, shoppers can expect to be dazzled by the latest in cutting edge designs, as jewellers seek to show off their latest sparkle based on the hottest trends and classic cuts.
Trixie LohMirmand, senior vice president, Exhibitions & Events Management, Dubai World Trade Centre, said: “This unique event underlines the significance of Dubai as a luxury shopping destination. Shoppers will have the opportunity to support local and regional retailers, whilst also being able to uncover some one-of-a-kind collections from international jewellers who bring their own inspirations and style of craftsmanship from around the world.”
The consumption of luxury items is known to have surged 11 per cent in the region, thanks to a rapid growth in tourism and local consumption as a result of the strong historic relevance of luxury in the region.
This year’s Dubai International Jewellery Week 2015 will have several new features such as daily interactive jewellery and fashion workshops, which will serve to further embellish what will be the ultimate jewellery buying experience.
Entry to the show is free of charge. Visitors will be required to register onsite and must carry valid ID documents.
