Accor, a world-leading augmented hospitality group, has signed a new Fairmont property in Saudi Arabia on the Ajdan Waterfront development at Al Khobar in the Eastern Province.
Featuring 160 rooms and serviced apartments besides four dining outlets and meeting rooms that can accommodate large social and corporate events, the new Fairmont Ajdan Al Khobar is set to open its doors in 2023.
In addition to the rooms, the hotel will also feature a Gold Lounge, a Fairmont Spa, a fitness area, a swimming pool, and a kids club.
Accor currently operates 39 properties with 14,314 keys in KSA with a pipeline of 33 properties with 10,060 keys.
The hospitality group is partnering with Ajdan Real Estate Development Company, the lifestyle focus, internationally award-winning developer. This come as part of its plan to expand its luxury footprint in Saudi Arabia.

CEO Mohammed Al Otaibi said by signing this development, the Suaid group had completed the final piece of Ajdan waterfront components.
"We are proud to be the first private developer that joins its footprint with Accor, achieving this major transformation in lifestyle and tourism industry in the eastern province," he added.
Strategically located on the waterfront in the heart of Al Khobar’s centre, the property will be part of the Ajdan Waterfront mixed-use development, featuring retail, commercial, residential, and entertainment components.
Moreover, the hotel will be close to the Saudi Aramco Headquarters, the King Abdulaziz Cultural Centre and Airbase, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, and various malls and attractions in the city.
In addition, and most importantly, is its vicinity to the King Fahd Causeway, which connects thousands of passengers from Al Khobar to Bahrain.
