Abu Dhabi Motors, the leading BMW Group importer in the Middle East, has delivered a fleet of 29 top range BMW models to the the lavish Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The vehicles include 23 BMW 7 Series, four BMW 5 Series and two BMW X5 models and will be used by the luxury five-star hotel to use for the transportation of its discerning guests.
Blending luxury, elegance and innovation, the recently launched BMW 7 Series is a dynamic and innovative luxury sedan in the premium automotive segment, making it an ideal vehicle of choice for the luxury hospitality sector.
The BMW Group’s flagship model will be joined by two other popular models -- the BMW 5 Series, which consistently tops Abu Dhabi Motors’ sales figures, and the BMW X5, a model that has seen huge success in the Sports Activity Vehicle segment since it first premiered 15 years ago.
The hand over of the vehicles took place at the Emirates Palace and was attended by senior executives from the hotel, Abu Dhabi Motors and the BMW Group Middle East office, including Johannes Seibert, managing director for BMW Group Middle East; Frank Nadler, area manager; Arno Husselmann, general manager of Abu Dhabi Motors; Holger Schroth, general manager of Emirates Palace; Grant Ruddiman, general manager of Kempinski Mall of the Emirates; Kai Schukowski, acting general manager of Kempinski Hotel Ajman; and Alessandro Redaelli, General Manager of Kempinski Palm Jumeirah Dubai.
Arno Husselmann, general manager of Abu Dhabi Motors, said: “Our relationship with the Emirates Palace Hotel dates back several years and this renewed agreement is testament to Abu Dhabi Motors’ continued commitment to be part of the luxury service offered to Emirates Palace guests and mirrors the exceptional service we offer our customers. Our models create a perfect synergy with Emirates Palace as the most prestigious five-star property in Abu Dhabi.”
Consistently amongst BMW Group’s best-selling vehicles, the new BMW 7 Series has once again set new benchmarks within the premium segment, offering innovative design and technology features both inside and out, he says.
Inside the vehicle, superior technology offers both the driver and passengers extraordinary levels of comfort and luxury. A host of new BMW ConnectedDrive driver assistance features include the intuitive Touch Command: a 7-inch Samsung tablet positioned in the rear of the vehicle, offering passengers a completely new experience in controlling multiple in-car functions. Through Touch Command, rear passengers are able to control in-car infotainment and comfort features, such as the new BMW 7 Series Vitality Programme, which offers luxurious in-seat massage options. A unique Gesture Control function, which offers those inside the vehicle with the option to increase the volume of the radio only by gesturing at the screen, is also one of the new technology features.
The pioneering headlamp technology, BMW Laser Light, offers a high beam range of up to 600 metres, double the length of regular LED headlamps. Driver and passengers alike can also look forward to the BMW 7 Series’ Sky Lounge, a panorama glass roof welcoming them to enjoy the day or star-filled night sky, as illuminated light patterns provide a luxurious interior light ambience in six colours.
Exuding confidence and power, the new model also comes armed with two comprehensively revised engines: the 6 cylinder 740iLi and 8 cylinder 750iLi xDrive, with the latter accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds at 450 hp, and the 6 cylinder equivalent offering an impressive 326hp, with a maximum torque of 450 Nm at 1 380 rpm. The on-road performance of both variants is enhanced through the incorporation of BMW EfficientDynamics, such as the premium vehicle’s lightweight.
