French jewellery house Van Cleef & Arpels has opened a new bigger boutique at the Moda Mall in Bahrain and launched an exhibition to commemorate the event.
The new boutique is located next to its old outlet which opened in November 2010 at the mall.
It was inaugurated by Alessandro Maffi, Van Cleef & Arpels Managing Director Middle East and India, and Mohammed Jaffar, the CEO of Asia Jewellers, the house’s partner in Bahrain.
In the enhanced interior, opulent private lounges ooze comfort and exclusivity with welcoming sofas, decked with velvet cushions, creating an enriched experience.
Inspired by private salons, powdery hues in a sumptuous array of silk and velvet adorn the elegant surroundings, setting the scene for the maison’s renowned high jewellery creations.
The boutique’s lighting marks a design concept unique to Van Cleef & Arpels. Directed spotlights are featured under glass domes which illuminate the pieces with beams of light that accentuate their vitality and radiance.
The boutique showcases the house’s iconic collections including Alhambra, Perlée and Between the Fingers rings, as well as high jewellery devoted to Van Cleef & Arpels’ favorite themes: enchanted nature with flying butterflies, flowers and magical fairies, dance and imaginary journeys.
It also includes a dedicated space to the poetry of time, with timepieces introducing a distinctive dimension to the field of watchmaking: that of dreams and emotion.
Meanwhile the exhibition located outside the boutique gives pride of place to the heritage that is mirrored in many of Van Cleef & Arpels’ creations.
Visitors can embark on a journey through key moments of the house’s rich history, through the display of its creations, which tell stories of the maison’s patrimony.
“A worldwide reference for its virtuosity and excellence in craftsmanship, Van Cleef & Arpels has offered an array of timeless creations for over a century. Admirers of beauty are invited to the exhibition to delve into the maison’s rich heritage and new realms,” says Maffi. “The newly opened boutique invokes a contemporary charm, reflecting the same blend of enchantment that is characteristic of the maison.”
The exhibition runs until January 23 and is open through the week from 9 am to 9 pm except on Fridays, when it will open from 4 pm to 9 pm only.
