Cartier International’s new CEO Cyrille Vigneron says he’s delighted to be back with the French luxury brand and is looking forward to meeting the challenges that the role brings with it.
Vigneron succeeded Stanislas de Quercize and took over as CEO at the start of the new year, also joining the Richemont Group’s management committee.
“I am delighted to be back at Cartier and I am looking forward to embarking with its teams on this new journey,” said Vigneron. “We know each other well and I am confident that I can rely on their enthusiasm to continue the great work carried out by Stanislas de Quercize, and address the challenges currently facing the maison and the profession as a whole.”
A French national, Vigneron, 54, worked with the Richemont Group from 1988 to 2013, including stints as Managing Director of Cartier Japan (1997-2002), President of Richemont Japan (2002-2005) and Managing Director of Cartier Europe (2005-2013).
From 2014, Vigneron was President of LVMH Japan.
A father of four, a keen music lover and connoisseur of Japanese culture, Vigneron is also an author, having published a book titled De geishas en mangas: Chroniques du Japon d'aujourd'hui in 2009.
Richemont owns several of the world's leading luxury brands in jewellery, luxury watches and writing instruments.
