RoyalJet, the Abu Dhabi-owned and operated award-winning premium private aviation leader, has received the International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH) Stage 2 certification for its Fixed Base Operations (FBO) located at the Abu Dhabi International Airport.
IS-BAH Stage 2 Certification is the second of three levels of the highest possible safety standards that an FBO can have, and is designed to promote the use of industry best practices blended through a progressive Safety Management System (SMS) for Fixed Based Operations (FBO) and Business Aircraft Handling Agencies (BAHA).
The accreditation process involves a complete audit of the FBO’s safety management systems, emergency and security procedures, organizational structure, training protocols, and operating procedures.
Certificates of registration are issued by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) to FBOs that have successfully demonstrated conformity to the industry’s best practices through completion of a third-party external audit by an IBAC accredited auditor.
Saeed Al Dahma, FBO Manager at RoyalJet Group, said: “We are very happy with the effort put in by the team during this challenging audit period. Privacy, comfort, luxury, and safety are four things we can guarantee while traveling with RoyalJet. Our goal is to make the travel experience less complicated and stressful, especially during the pandemic. This certification is proof of our commitment to provide customers with optimum levels of safety and security.”
Rob DiCastri, CEO at RoyalJet, said: “At RoyalJet we always want to be taking our operation to another level, providing even better services to our guests. This is exactly what we’ve tried to do with our newly upgraded and refurbished FBO, taking the opportunity that the pandemic gave us with the lower activity level to make some transformational changes. We wanted to bring something new for the customers while ensuring a safe and secure travel experience.
“The FBO provides a whole new feeling to the RoyalJet experience. The style is significantly different. We worked with the talented team at Slash Design who helped to turn the FBO into a very Abu Dhabi-focused facility that projects the values and identity of our home. When people go through the FBO they can get a better understanding of the culture and artwork of Abu Dhabi and the UAE and understand better who we are and where we come from.” added DiCastri.
The RoyalJet Group, chaired by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, operates mainly from its Fixed Based Operations (FBO) / VIP Terminal at Abu Dhabi International Airport and the company and its employees hold multiple certifications and licenses issued by the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority and the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority.
The group, through its Abu Dhabi and Bermuda entities, owns and/or operates 10 Boeing Business Jets and two Bombardier Global 5000 aircraft, offering aircraft management, aircraft charter, aircraft leasing, medical evacuation flights, aircraft brokerage, flight support services, FBO services, aircraft maintenance, repair and CAMO services, aircraft acquisition and disposal services and VIP aviation consulting.
