Autumn 2021
Jewellery Arabia, a much-awaited show that forms the core of Bahrain’s events calendar, returns this November to dazzle the buyers.
Jewellery Arabia is the Middle East’s premier jewellery and watch event and is backed by a 30-year track record of success. The five-day show from November 16 to 20 will unite the world’s most desirable brands and extraordinary designers with discerning buyers.
The premier event will take place at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain.
Michael Champion, Regional Executive Vice President MEA at Informa Markets, the organiser of the show, said: “We are grateful for HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s support for Jewellery Arabia. The region’s largest jewellery show provides a unique experience for jewellery lovers looking for dazzling pieces and we are confident that thanks to the rigorous health and safety measures we are putting in place for this year’s event, our visitors will enjoy a safe and wonderful shopping experience.”
The show, which was earlier planned to be held from November 23 to 27 was advanced by a week at the request of senior stakeholders both in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, organisers said.
“With Jewellery Arabia moving a week earlier, we are confident that there is negligible impact and will ensure delivery of a seamless experience for our exhibitors and visitors. We will be working with our suppliers and partners to deliver the most experiential and exciting edition of Jewellery Arabia in its history,” they said.
After a year of absence due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Jewellery Arabia returns with a fresh look inspired by Parisian street shopping in Hall 1, a brand-new VIP entrance and a large choice of F&B options for visitors to enjoy a relaxing break during their journey at the event.
Bringing together over 550 jewellery and watch brands from 35 countries, the prestigious exhibition displays a huge range of classic and contemporary designs, collectors’ timepieces, precious gems, clocks, fine writing instruments, luxury accessories and more.
The consumer event welcomes a host of new brands this year, to the joy of jewellery and watch shoppers. With the continuous easing of travel requirements coming into Bahrain, multiple renowned international brands have already confirmed their first-time presence at Jewellery Arabia, amongst them Davidor, Fullord, Yvel and Beauregard, all bringing stunning jewellery and watch pieces specially to the Middle East market.
Jewellery lovers are also set to be dazzled by the increased range of products this year, said organisers.
With the aim of assuring all of its attendees utmost health and safety standards, event organisers Informa Markets are ensuring that local government guidelines are respected but also going beyond by implementing a series of health and safety measures, the statement said.
Jewellery Arabia stands as a pillar of the Bahrain events calendar thanks to its positive impact of more than $19 million on business tourism, hospitality, F&B and of course, the jewellery sector.
The previous edition of Jewellery Arabia that took place in 2019 saw a record $36 million worth of jewellery sales, 12 per cent up from 2018. Shoppers from over 60 countries visited renowned exhibiting brands including Al Sarraj, Al Zain, Boucheron, Etho Maria, Heinz Mayer, Ferrari Firenze, Bhaskar Devji, Kooheji Jewellery, Mattar Jewellers and many more, all set to return in 2021. Apart from this, some record-breaking transactions were also concluded, such as Schreiner Fine Jewellery’s rare pink diamond ring purchased for $90 million, the largest single-item sale in the history of the brand.
With 90 per cent of the space already sold nine months ahead of the event, including large pavilions for Bahrain Jewellery Centre and Asia Jewellers, Jewellery Arabia 2021 is set to be a memorable edition. With the aim of continuously improving the experience for exhibitors and visitors alike, said the organisers.
“Improving our customers and visitors experience is always a priority at Informa Markets. 2021 will introduce a host of improvements and fresh features designed to make buyers’ visit as enjoyable and special as possible,” Informa said.
