Film stars were spotted in stunning Chopard jewellery at the 2016 British Academy Film Awards (Baftas) in the UK and the 30th annual Goya Awards in Spain.
The Bafta awards ceremony was held at the Royal Opera House in London on February 14 and saw Leonardo DiCaprio win the Best Actor for his role in The Revenant, with Brie Larson lifting the trophy for the Best Actress (Room).
At the event, American actress Julianne Moore, who the presenter for the Best Actress, wore a pair of 18-karat white gold earrings set with cabochon fancy cut emeralds (41 carats) and brilliants (1 carat) and a butterfly 18-karat white gold ring set with a marquise-cut diamond (2 carats), pear-shaped diamonds (5 carats) and brilliants (1 carat), both from Chopard’s Red Carpet collection.
British actress Annabelle Wallis chose to wear a pair of 18-karat white gold earrings set with pear-shaped rubies (47 carats), pear-shaped diamonds (7 carats) and brilliants (2 carats) from the Red Carpet collection, an 18-karat white gold ring set with round-shaped brilliant-cut diamonds (2 carats) and a round-shaped brilliant cut ruby, an 18-karat white gold ring set with round-shaped brilliant-cut diamonds (2 carats), both from the L’Heure du Diamant collection, and a ring in 18-karat white Fairmined gold set with marquise-cut diamonds (2.71 carats) from the Green Carpet collection.
German-Irish actor Michael Fassbender, who was nominated for the Best Actor (Steve Jobs), walked the red carpet wearing a 1937 watch in rose gold from Chopard’s LUC collection.
And Irish actress Saoirse Ronan, who was nominated for Best Actress (Brooklyn) selected a stunning 18-karat white gold necklace set with fancy colored sapphires (275 carats), fancy colored briolette-cut sapphires (82 carats), round-shaped rose-cut diamonds (11 carats) and pear-shaped rose-cut diamonds (5 carats) as well as an 18-karat white and yellow gold ring set with a yellow pear-shaped diamond (4 carats) and brilliants (1 carat), both from the High Jewellery collection.
Earlier, on February 6 at 30th annual Goya Awards held in Madrid, Chopard’s jewellery was used to dazzling effect by two stars at the event.
Spanish actress Penelope Cruz, who was nominated for best leading actress for her role in Ma Ma, chose to wear flower earrings in 18-karat white gold featuring pear-cut diamonds (20 carats) and a ring in 18-karat white gold set with diamonds and featuring marquise-cut diamond (3 carats) both from High Jewellery collection.
And French actress Juliette Binoche, who was nominated for best leading actress for her role in Nadie quiere la noche, wore 18-karat white gold earrings set with diamonds and featuring two triangle cut diamonds (10.42 carats) from the High Jewellery collection and an 18-karat white gold ring set with diamonds from the L’Heure du Diamant collection.
The movie Truman won the Best Film, the Best Actor was Ricardo Darin (Truman), and Best Actress trophy went to Natalia de Molina (Techo y Comida).
The Goya Awards are Spain’s equivalent of the French Cesar, the Baftas and the American Oscars.
