Porto Montenegro now has the biggest berth in the world for superyachts, cementing its status as one of the world’s leading superyacht marinas.
The new 250-m berth positions the Adriatic marina as a world leader, exceeding the superyacht berths of One Ocean Port Vell in Barcelona, Spain (190m) and Grand Harbour Marina in Malta (135 m).
With the largest superyacht currently afloat measuring 180 m, superyacht directory Yachting Pages says that Porto Montenegro “will be ready for it”.
Porto Montenegro was ranked first in Yachting Pages’s list of top 10 new superyacht marinas, above well-established Mediterranean marinas such as Porto Cervo in Italy and Puerto Banus in Spain.
“Porto Montenegro is fast claiming a stake to be one of Europe’s most attractive new marinas. After recent changes at the facility it now offers the ability to berth superyachts up to 250 m, with the marina complemented by a retail and entertainment village, which offers luxury waterside residences, a five-star Regent Hotel, numerous restaurants and bars, designer boutiques and more,” reports Yachting Pages.
One Ocean Port Vell secured the second place with berth up to 190 m, while the third place went to Grand Harbour Marina with berths up to 135 m. Also in the list were Vilanova Grand Marina in Barcelona (120 m); Limassol Marina in Cyprus (110 m), Palmarina in Bodrum, Turkey (105 m);
Marina di Stabia in Italy (100 m); Christophe Harbour in St Kitts in the Caribbean (91 m); ACI Marina Split in Croatia (90 m) and Marina di Loano in Italy (77 m).
Porto Montenegro is one of the Mediterranean’s leading luxury yacht homeports and marina villages. The state-of-the art facility has been designed to cater to the advanced needs of all yachts, their owners, guests and crew with specific infrastructure for the largest yachts afloat.
The marina currently has 450 berths – able to host yachts up to 250 m in length, 228 luxury apartments, as well as 55 units of ground floor retail made up of restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and amenities and a five-star Regent Hotel with over 80 luxury suites and apartments.
