The 2017 edition of MEBAA Show Morocco will be held at the Marrakesh Menara Airport in Marrakesh on September 12 and 13.
Last year’s inaugural edition was held at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca and saw 2,033 visitors over its two-day run, viewing offerings from 57 exhibitors including the leading players in the business aviation market.
It was during this show that discussions with the Moroccan government led to the show becoming a regular fixture in the country.
“With the success of the 2015 event, we knew that the market had a need for the show to return biennially,” said Ali Al Naqbi, Founding Chairman of the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA). “With the move to a new city for the second edition, there is an opportunity for more exhibitors to be part of the booming North African business aviation market.”
The African business travel sector in Africa has expanded in line with the region’s growth in trade and Morocco is already firmly established as a regional hub, with Al Naqbi pointing out that around 50 per cent of the region’s aircraft movements are based in the country.
The 2017 show is expecting more than 2,500 visitors and 65 exhibitors, ranging from global industry heavyweights to local and regional companies, plus a static display of the latest business aircraft.
“We are thrilled to be returning to Morocco with MEBAA in 2017,” Al Naqbi continued. “The move to the new location presents an opportunity for an increase in exhibitor numbers and facilities for exhibitors and visitors alike.”
MEBAA is the official representative of the business aviation industry in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region and is a member of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC).
MEBAA is a non-profit association established in 2006 with the mission to provide a platform for members of the business aviation industry in the region to gather, understand and communicate the needs and benefits of the industry.
As part of its current growth strategy, MEBAA seeks to implement operational safety and efficiency by providing best in-practice training, lectures and conferences, establishing codes of conduct, and providing industry data.
Today, MEBAA represents over 245 companies within the Mena region and provides a number of products and services to its members, including the MAIS (MEBAA Aviation Insurance Scheme) insurance scheme for operators. In addition to various networking events, MEBAA hosts the MEBAA Show and MEBAA Show Morocco.
The MEBAA Show Morocco is organised by F&E Aerospace on behalf of MEBAA.
