Scent Arabia, Bahrain’s first luxury fragrance event taking place beside Jewellery Arabia 2022, will be held from November 22 to 26 at the new Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir.
Spanning over 8,000 sq m, the debut event will showcase an array of the most exclusive and luxurious fragrances from the Gulf and across the world, attracting local, regional and global perfume enthusiasts to attend the highly anticipated event.
Organised by Informa Markets, the pioneers behind Jewellery Arabia, Bahrain’s Autumn Fair and Cityscape Bahrain, Scent Arabia will take place alongside the 30th edition of the annual Jewellery Arabia. The Middle East’s largest jewellery and watch exhibition brings together over 500 jewellery and watch brands from across the globe.
The 5-day event received over 55,000 visitors in 2021, 25% of which attended the exhibition on multiple days. Boasting a wide range of high-end, exclusive collections and limited-edition pieces, last year’s event recorded sales of over $75 million worth of jewellery and watches. During the event, a majority of visitors expressed interest in attending a luxury fragrance event, subsequently leading to the launch of Scent Arabia. The launch of Scent Arabia is expected to attract perfume enthusiasts from across the region, seeking fragrances for everyday wear, as well as rare and niche finds, said organisers.
Visitors will enjoy an array of products including luxury perfumes, oud, home fragrances, bukhour and candles. The event will also feature a VIP lounge, live music and a perfume lab where visitors will get the opportunity to create their own fragrances, under the expert guidance of professionals in the field.
Mohaned El Mahgoub, General Manager of Informa Markets Bahrain, said: “We are extremely pleased to be launching Scent Arabia, to coincide with the 30th anniversary of Jewellery Arabia, the Middle East’s premier jewellery and watch event. The event will host some of the most world-renowned and high-end perfumes in the market, as we aim to cater to a diverse range of fragrance enthusiasts across the region.
“With the projected growth of the perfume industry worldwide, we are witnessing a noticeable increase in the sale of niche fragrances across the region. The launch of Scent Arabia aims to cater to the needs of these consumers by showcasing a wide range of high-end perfumes that are not available within the region. We are receiving great interest from regional and international brands to participate in this event, and we look forward to welcoming new brands to exhibit as part of this year’s line-up,” he added.
