Bombardier’s Challenger 650 aircraft has received full type certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
"Our Challenger 650 aircraft successfully entered into service in 2015 and is now about to make its European debut in 2016,” said David Coleal, President, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “Demand for this aircraft is strong around the world and with certification now in-hand, we are eager for EASA-registered customers to experience this brand new jet.”
He continued: “Customers who are already operating the aircraft are delighted with its new cabin design, increased comfort and added productivity.”
The aesthetics, ergonomics and technologies of the new Challenger 650 aircraft cabin redefine high-end comfort, convenience and control including angled touchscreen controller, metal accent trim and even wider seats.
With its proven reliability drawn from aviation's best-selling large business jet platform and top customer-rated product support, the new Challenger 650 leads the pack with unmatched dependability and the lowest direct operating costs in its class.
Challenger 600 Series jets are the most delivered medium category aircraft of all time in Europe, and account for the largest installed base in its segment in the region, says Bombardier.
In 2015, Bombardier Business Aircraft was the market share leader in terms of installed base and deliveries in Europe, in the segments where it competes.
CHALLENGER 650
The new Challenger 650 cabin creates new levels of comfort, control, and convenience. It features a redesigned galley and seats as well as an advanced cabin management system (CMS), including largest-in-class HD monitors; audio video on demand (AVOD) and Bluetooth integration.
The Challenger 650 aircraft's enhanced engines offer greater thrust, which enable shorter take-off distance, extra payload capacity or greater range capabilities out of challenging airports. With a 4,000 NM (7,408 km) range capability, the business jet can fly non-stop from London (UK) to New York (UK), Dubai (UAE) to London and Sao Paulo (Brazil) to Miami (US).
The aircraft features the Bombardier Vision flight deck, providing pilots with new levels of control and comfort, in addition to increasing situational awareness and reducing pilot workload. This combination of capabilities provides the best value in business aviation: latest generation flight management computer, synthetic vision system (SVS), MultiScan weather radar and available head-up display with enhanced vision system (EVS).
Headquartered in Montreal, Canada, Bombardier is a world leading manufacturer of both planes and trains, evolving mobility worldwide by answering the call for more efficient, sustainable and enjoyable transportation everywhere.
