An array of fine jewellery from legendary European brands go on sale at Sotheby’s in London, today.

With estimates ranging from £1,000 to £60,000, the Fine Jewels sale will present over 370 jewels dating from the 19th century to the present day. 

This selection features pieces from legendary European houses including Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier, as well as American makers such as Raymond Yard and Marcus and Co.

Highlights also comprise a rich array of diamonds and coloured stones, including some impressive Burmese rubies, Colombian emeralds, and Kashmir sapphire 

The pieces include:

• A 1950s gem set and diamond brooch from Cartier (est 4,000-6,000/$5,700-8,600).

• A 5.12-carat fancy intense yellow oval modified brilliant-cut diamond ring (£45,000-65,000/$64,500-93,000).

• A 3.04-carat pear-shaped diamond ring from Cartier (£20,000-30,000/$28,500-39,500).

• An emerald and diamond ring set with a hexagonal-shaped emerald of Colombian origin (£15,000-20,000/$21,400-28,500).

• A sapphire and diamond ring from the 1930s (£30,000-50,000/$42,800-71,500)

• A pair of gentleman's cufflinks and tie pin from Tiffany & Co (£3,000-4,000/$4,300-5,700).

• A gem set and diamond brooch/pendant from the 1890s, formerly the property of Evelyn St George (£10,000-15,000/$14,300-21,400).

• A jadeite, coral and diamond brooch from Nardi and coral and diamond pendant ear clips, formerly in the collection of Hélène Rochas (£4,500-5,500/$6,500-7,900).

• A stunning moonstone and diamond necklace from Janesich, circa 1915 (£7,000-10,000-$10,000-14,300).
