The second edition of the MonteNapoleone Yacht Club and Unique 16 opens today in Milan with Ferretti as one of the main protagonists of the event, which brings the worlds of yachting and high fashion together.
Named after and located at the famous Milan shopping street, the event has the Italian city’s finest boutiques teaming up with yacht builders and designers to showcase the links between their worlds.
Organised by Associazione MonteNapoleone and sponsored by the City of Milan, the event aims to enhance the bond between these two areas of excellence by presenting them “on the runway” together for an entire week on Via Montenapoleone.
Ferretti Group is at the event showcasing all its six brands. In addition to Riva and CRN, which participated to the first edition in 2015, this year Ferretti has brought Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Itama, and Custom Line.
Each brand is paired with a famous name in fashion, jewellery, accessories, or watchmaking.
Ferretti Yachts and CRN join forces with Piaget and Audemars Piguet, respectively; Pershing teams up with Montblanc; Itama pairs with Italia Independent; and Custom Line and Riva will be linked with Etro and Larusmiani.
“As the standard-bearer for Made in Italy yacht-building, we were truly enthusiastic to be part of this second edition of MonteNapoleone Yacht Club,” commented Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi. “Our decision to attend with six of the group’s brands underscores the particular affinity we feel for this event, as we fully recognize its values. The love of beauty, the care and dedication given to both the product and the customer are something we share with our partners and are what guide us day by day in creating unique yachts, icons of the sea that are admired worldwide.”
From today through Sunday May 22, guests of the six boutiques will get a close-up look of the latest from Ferretti Yachts, Pershing, Itama, Riva, CRN and Custom Line, through exhibitions and installations created especially for the event.
Scale models of the yachts will be on display in the windows, display cases, and sitting areas of the boutiques alongside the products of partner companies.
MonteNapoleone Yacht Club is sponsored by Fraser Yachts and Valverde. Other pairings include Valentino and Sanlorenzo, Louis Vuitton and Fincantieri, Bulgari and Benetti, Hermès and Lürssen and Loro Piana and the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda.
Tomorrow, the entire street will come alive with an exclusive invitation-only cocktail party, creating a choral celebration of this partnership between two worlds of elite luxury, excellence and style.
The week-long event includes the Unique exhibition from the finer jewellers in the street, who will present a curated collection of high jewellery and watches from some of the world’s most famous brands exclusively to a select clientele.
