Swiss manufacture Bovet’s newest creation in collaboration with Pininfarina was put on show at an international press event held recently at the design house’s headquarters in Cambiano, Italy.
The OttantaSei Flying Tourbillon in the Bovet 1822 by Pininfarina collection is the sixth watch to be launched since the collaboration began in 2010, and combines avant-garde design with innovative technical feats.
Representatives of the watchmaking, automotive, and lifestyle press were present at the event hosted by Bovet’s owner Pascal Raffy and Pininfarina Chairman Paolo Pininfarina.
The entire Bovet 1822 by Pininfarina Collection was showcased at the event alongside two Pininfarina automobiles which inspired the collection: the electric Cambiano concept car, which displays the Cambiano chronograph on its dashboard, and the famous Sergio Ferrari, which inspired the split-second Sergio chronograph.
The Swiss handcrafted Ottantasei tourbillon watch marks a significant turning point in the development of the collection while simultaneously highlighting Pininfarina’s distinctive design codes. The watch, available as a red gold or titanium skeleton watch, remains faithful to the essential lines that characterise the collection laid down by the Tourbillon Ottanta in 2010.
