Euro Motors (EM), the official importer of BMW Group vehicles in Bahrain, has launched the all-new BMW S 1000 RR, a superlative superbike that takes the pole position in performance, as BMW Motorrad celebrates its global centenary this year.
Featuring enhancements to the chassis, suspension, aerodynamics, and electronic assist systems, the 2023 BMW Motorrad S 1000 RR stands apart – driven by the successful transfer of the BMW experience from the racetrack to the high-performance BMW ShiftCam four-cylinder engine in the RR, the company says.
The all-new 2023 BMW Motorrad S 1000 RR was launched at a ceremony at the BMW Motorrad showroom in Manama, and was attended by senior management from Euro Motors, BMW Motorrad owners from across Bahrain, prospective customers, and motorbike connoisseurs.
David McGoldrick, General Manager of Euro Motors Bahrain, and Ali Al Asfoor, BMW Motorrad Showroom Manager, unveiled the sleek new bike.
“With an advanced suspension and chassis, DTC Slide Control assistance systems as well as optimised aerodynamics, the all-new 2023 BMW Motorrad S 1000 RR raises performance to a new level and is certain to delight long-time BMW Motorrad enthusiasts as well as new riders seeking a show-stopping experience,” said McGoldrick.
“Launched in the year of BMW Motorrad’s centenary, we at Euro Motors are thrilled to offer our customers the best-equipped sport bike in its class. The launch of the 2023 BMW S 1000 RR marks the beginning of yet another successful year for Euro Motors and underlines our leading position in the region’s premium bike segment.”
The all-new BMW S 1000 RR features a 999 cc high-performance BMW ShiftCam four-cylinder engine delivering an additional 3hp output to total 210hp at 13,000 rpm. Among new features, increased rear wheel traction in all gears is provided by a shorter secondary gear ratio using a sprocket with 46 instead of 45 teeth.
“Packing more power and performance than ever before, the all-new BMW S 1000 RR is a tribute to the German automotive legend’s capability in producing a bike that is as qualified for the racetrack as it is for the road,” said Al Asfoor. “The soaring demand for BMW Motorrad bikes at Euro Motors clearly proves the enduring popularity of BMW with customers in Bahrain and beyond, and I look forward to meeting and greeting our BMW S 1000 RR customers in our showroom in the coming days.”
Boasting a six-speed gearbox, the BMW Motorrad S 1000 RR now permits gearshifts with overrun upshifts and overrun downshifts and provides improved load change damping for more precision and control. The all-new model also features a lowered steering head angle of 66.4° and reduced offset of the fork bridges at 25.5 mm for even better front wheel accuracy. The six-stage DTC traction control with the new steering angle sensor enables two new functions: Brake Slide Assist for deceleration and Slide/Slip Control for acceleration. The 2023 BMW S 1000 RR can be equipped with an optional electronically controlled Dynamic Damping Control (DDC) suspension linked to the riding modes.
