Winter 2023
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Middle East & Africa (MEA) has recorded outstanding year-on-year sales growth of 38 per cent in 2022, driven principally by Ghost and Cullinan.
The demand surged further following the launch of Black Badge Ghost, Phantom Series II and Spectre during the year, said the company.
Globally, Rolls-Royce achieved its highest-ever annual sales in the year, delivering a total of 6,021 motor cars, up 8 per cent on 2021, to clients in around 50 countries worldwide.
This is the first time in the company’s 118-year history that its sales have exceeded 6,000 in a single 12 month period. The value of bespoke commissions also reached record levels, while demand for all Rolls Royce models remains exceptionally strong, with advance orders secured far into 2023.
Bespoke commissions remained at record levels in 2022. The highlight of the year was Phantom ‘The Six Elements’, co-created in a unique collaboration with world-renowned artist Sacha Jafri.
Regional Director César Habib said: “In 2022, we inspired the world with our collaborations and bespoke capabilities, and took a hugely significant step into our all-electric future. All these achievements have been made possible by the dedication and commitment of our own Rolls-Royce team, and our dealer partners across the region. It is truly a privilege and an honour to work alongside them every day.”
The year saw the inauguration of the new Private Office in Dubai, UAE, the first of its kind outside the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood. The Private Office Dubai facilitates even closer contact and relationships with Middle East clients, and brings the full brand experience and capabilities directly to them.
Meanwhile, Spectre, Rolls-Royce’s genre-defining all-electric super coupé, has now covered almost two million kilometres as it completes the third phase of the most rigorous testing programme.
Spectre is currently undergoing extreme hot weather tests in two locations in South Africa: Augrabies in the Northern Cape; and Franschhoek, the ‘French Corner’ in the Western Cape winelands. The final 500,000 km of Spectre testing will focus on Lifestyle Analysis.
