Spring/Summer 2023
Aston Martin’s legendary DBS nameplate has long been synonymous with automotive excellence, delivering breathtaking style and performance that leaves the competition in the dust. The British automaker now brings the final edition of the current-gen DBS with the ferocious DBS 770 Ultimate.
This model is the most powerful production Aston Martin ever built, and it’s also the fastest and most powerful DBS to date. With a limited run of only 300 Coupes and 199 Volantes, the DBS 770 Ultimate is a highly collectible celebration of everything that makes Aston Martin’s flagship super GT so special.
DBS 770 Ultimate boasts a ferocious iteration of Aston Martin’s quad-cam 60-degree 5.2-litre V12 engine, churning out a staggering 770PS at 6500rpm and a massive 900Nm of torque from just 1800rpm to 5000rpm. With a top speed of 211mph, this magnificent engine benefits from modified air and ignition pathways, along with a 7 per cent increase in maximum turbo boost pressure. And with precise tuning of the power and torque curves, drivers will experience a boundless sense of performance, along with an intoxicating blend of exceptional response, outstanding in-gear acceleration, and the authentic V12 soundtrack.
The power is fed through a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission and mechanical Limited-Slip Differential (LSD) mounted at the rear of the car. And with a unique transmission calibration to enhance shift speeds and driver interaction, the DBS 770 Ultimate offers a truly connected driving experience. Meanwhile, the Carbon Ceramic Braking (CCB) system uses the same 410mm x 38mm front discs and 360mm x 32mm rear as fitted to the DBS, while a new solid mounted steering column allows for a more precise connection with the road and an increased level of detailed feedback.
Of course, the DBS 770 Ultimate isn’t just about raw power and performance. Aston Martin has also made extensive design and engineering enhancements to ensure that this final edition model is as visually striking as it is mechanically advanced. The front end lateral stiffness has been improved by 25 per cent to provide maximum performance feel and response, while enhancements have also been made to the Adaptive Damping System (ADS), with unique damper calibration and software tune focusing on control and composure without compromising ride quality.
The appearance of the DBS 770 Ultimate that really sets it apart. With a design that’s assertive and uncompromisingly unique, this final edition model is a fitting tribute to the end of an era. The clamshell bonnet features a dramatic ‘horse-shoe’ engine vent, drawing increased airflow through the engine radiators for enhanced thermal management and greater visual road presence.
Inside, the DBS 770 Ultimate delights with a dazzling array of fresh design treatments that set it apart, while retaining the instantly recognisable cabin environment of the current DBS. Signifying its halo positioning, DBS 770 Ultimate comes with Sports Plus Seats trimmed in full semi-aniline leather and Alcantara, featuring a ‘fluted’ quilt and perforation pattern as standard. Aston Martin’s performance seat can also be selected as an option.
Production of the DBS 770 Ultimate was due to commence in Q1 of 2023, with first deliveries scheduled to begin during Q3 2023.
