Benetti’s new Mediterraneo 116’ yacht will make its worldwide debut at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival, which will be held from September 6 to 11 in Cannes, France.
The new 35.5-m yacht in its Class Displacement series is characterised by smooth and slender lines, and is said to represent a true stylistic revolution for the Italian builder.
One of the yacht’s distinctive features is its focus on brightness. The superstructure’s design provides a sensation of luminosity, amplified by several elements on board such as the 2-m-wide crystal doors from the main deck that lead to the main salon, and the 3-m-tall picture windows. In the salon and dining area, the two windows open onto an exterior walkway that, thanks to its width, can also be used as a balcony.
A 6-m-wide cockpit on the main deck allows panoramic views of the sea right forward through the intelligent use of space, another example of the Mediterraneo 116’s revolutionary design.
The owner's suite is located further forward on the main deck, while guests have four cabins in the lower deck, each enriched by a large window for exceptional sea-level views.
The yacht has been designed to facilitate the unobtrusive movement of crew, with a focus on privacy and maximum efficiency.
There is also lots of space dedicated to fun and entertainment on the external area, with a huge customisable area on the upper deck.
Two Man V-12-1400 engines give the yacht a top speed of 15 knots and at 10 knots, an efficient hull design gives the Mediterraneo 116' a cruising range of 3,000 nautical miles.
Founded in 1873, Benetti is the oldest Italian builder of motor-yachts, and an icon of timeless Italian styling combined with excellence in construction. Each yacht is unique, built around her owner's needs and desires.
Benetti designs, builds and markets two product lines: the Class range with composite construction from 93' to145', and Custom range with steel and aluminium construction over 45 m in length.
