Anatara is turning the thrill of yachting into a bubbly affair for guests staying at its two resorts in Phuket, Thailand.
Both Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas and Anantara Layan Phuket Resort are offering a ‘Krug Cruise’ which includes free-flowing Krug champagne aboard a private yacht during a personally tailored day trip off the surrounding waters.
Accommodating up to 12 people, the Krug Cruise offers a fully crewed 90-foot Sunseeker yacht named Major Affair, return transfers to and from the resort and the marina, breakfast and a sumptuous lunch created by an on-board chef, plus free flowing Krug champagne served all day long.
The cruise can be tailored to each group’s preferences and the captain will cruise for up to four hours and anchor according to its guests’ whims and pleasures.
The waters around Phuket are most recognisable for their limestone karst islands, which can be admired along the coast of Krabi, Railay Bay and Phang Nga Bay, where James Bond Island from the ‘The Man with the Golden Gun’ was filmed. Venturing south to Koh Phi Phi, Major Affair can drop anchor for guests to sunbathe on the pristine white sands of Bamboo Island, before heading on to visit Hin Klang for snorkelling, experiencing the playful antics of Monkey Beach and seeing the ship drawing of Viking Cave, followed by swimming in ‘The Beach’ film location of Maya Bay.
The 28-m Sunseeker 90 yacht has been designed to maximise outdoor space. Providing entertainment with panoramic views, the flybridge features a wet bar. Guests can drift between sunbathing, meal times and relaxation with two dining areas and two large sunpads on the deck.
An expansive swimming platform easily accommodates a 4.6-m tender, leaving the sundecks uncluttered for easy water sport access. Guests can choose between serene and high speed thrills with inflatables, snorkelling equipment, water skis and wakeboards available on board.
The Krug Cruise is priced at THB520,000 ($14,860) per day.
