Hublot brought out two special watches to commemorate Manchester United and England forward Wayne Rooney’s testimonial charity match against his former club Everton.
The match was co-hosted by the Swiss luxury watchmaker and played at Old Trafford on August 3. It ended in a 0-0 draw.
For the occasion, Hublot produced two special edition Classic Fusion watches to commemorate Rooney’s achievements in football. With 53 England goals to his name, Rooney is the all-time leading scorer in English international football.
The Hublot Classic Fusion Special Edition Wayne Rooney in titanium will be limited to 65 pieces, while the 18-carat King Gold model will be limited to just two pieces.
Both models feature a red 10 in the 10 o’clock position in reference to Rooney’s Manchester United shirt number, while the case back is decorated with the words ‘Wayne Rooney Testimonial 2016’ and his signature.
The entire run of both pieces will be donated to the Wayne Rooney Foundation and the proceeds from the match were donated to four children's charities - Claire House Children's Hospice, Alder Hey Children's Hospital, the NSPCC and the Manchester United Foundation.
