AMAC Aerospace has been busy in the month of August, starting work on two Gulfstream jets, winning a new contract, and delivering a VIP jet after maintenance work.
The two Gulfstream aircraft are having maintenance inspections performed by AMAC’s Gulfstream team at its facility in Basel, Switzerland. A base maintenance input will be performed on a government-owned G5 and on a commercially operated G4 aircraft.
“We have experienced a growing number of clients who have selected our company to perform maintenance work on their Gulfstream aircraft over the last nine years due to our expertise in maintenance and cabin upgrades on this aircraft type. We are pleased to continuously grow in this business field,” said Rudi Kurz, Director Maintenance, AMAC Aerospace.
AMAC Aerospace also signed a new contract to upgrade a Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) with a new cabin oxygen system.
The current oxygen system will be removed and replaced by a new state of the art oxygen system, which will be installed with a minimum modification work on the existing VIP cabin interior. During the modification work, AMAC’s Boeing team will also perform an aircraft maintenance package on the privately owned aircraft.
AMAC said its system engineering group has highly specialised expertise in this STC level modification and can tailor solutions in accordance to customer’s operational requirements and budgets.
Also, earlier this month, AMAC successfully redelivered of a VIP aircraft to an undisclosed Head-of-State customer.
The VIP BBJ aircraft underwent a maintenance programme including a C-Check in conjunction with a partial cabin removal in Basel. Beside the maintenance work, the highly specialised Boeing team also performed various cabin modifications on the aircraft.
