The MEBAA Show is expected to attract as many as 460 exhibitors from across the world at the 2016 edition, an almost 10 per cent increase on 2014.
Business aviation companies from as far afield as China and the US will be attending the biennial event, which will be held at the airshow site in Dubai South, the emerging new business hub in Dubai, UAE, from December 6 to 8.
Previous editions of the show have always attracted interest from global companies, and 2016 looks to be no exception, with a plethora of businesses from other regions exhibiting for the first time.
Notably, Asian presence is growing for 2016 with the addition of Fast Transit Aviation Service from China, plus returning exhibitor HAECO Private Jet Solutions more than doubling their investment and presence.
New international exhibitors already looking forward to December’s event include additions from Italy such as Testori and Seaprime, while a large contingent are expected from the US including Astronics/Panasonic and Global Eagle Entertainment. The show is also seeing a growth of local companies for the 2016 event, with UAE based companies such as Click Aviation and Greenline exhibiting for the first time at the show.
Perhaps as importantly, the show is seeing strong demand from returning exhibitors – both local and international - to increase their presence. Some of those ramping up their commitment to the show include those who were new exhibitors at the 2014 edition – such as Greenpoint Technologies from the US – while others include Turkish company Genel Havacilik, Jet Aviation from Switzerland, Qatar Executive and UAE-based UAS International Trip Support, among many others.
“We are thrilled to see the show going from strength to strength,” says Ali Al Naqbi, founding Chairman of the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA), the show’s organiser. “The fact that we are seeing so many new exhibitors from around the world; coupled with the increases in commitment, demonstrates that the show is cementing its status in the business aviation industry.”
MEBAA is the official representative of the business aviation industry in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region and is a member of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC).
The MEBAA Show ranks as one of the three largest business aviation shows in the world and is a must-attend event for anyone involved in chartering, leasing, selling, purchasing, operating and servicing business and VIP jets.
In addition to the exhibition, the event features a static display of the latest business aircraft. Exhibiting at the show provides the ideal platform to reach key business contacts and build relationships.
