Versace has introduced a new Mediterranean-inspired perfume called Dylan Blue, describing it as “a fragrance full of character and individuality, an expression of a man’s strength and also his charisma”.
The perfume is billed as a fougère fragrance with a woody aroma.
Natural citrus, bergamot and grapefruit combine with fig leaf to give an incisive, Mediterranean freshness while aquatic notes lend depth and round off the citrus tang.
Violet leaves with a dash of black pepper add another dimension while woody notes of ambrox, papyrus and organic patchouli form the perfume’s pulsating heart.
Tonka bean, saffron and hints of pyrogéné incense instil a warm sensuality.
Finally, musk with mineral accents sets off its intense and seductive character.
The lines of the bottle are clean-cut with the iconic symbol of Versace, the Medusa.
The design uses painted glass to reinterpret the colour blue. Once again, the allusion to the Mediterranean Sea and its culture is apparent: modern, fresh, incisive, intense, profound and sensual, the house says.
