A captivating spectacle is set to unfold at the historic Arsenale complex as the Venice Boat Show returns for its fifth edition, showcasing yachting excellence.
This prestigious event (from May 29 to June 2), organised by Vela SpA in partnership with the City of Venice and the Italian Navy, is poised to spotlight over 240 boats and 270 exhibitors, drawing enthusiasts and industry leaders from around the globe.
This year’s show is more than just an exhibition; it’s a celebration of both Italian and international maritime innovation. With 30 new shipyards making their debut and 15 world premieres on display, the Venice Boat Show cements its status as a key player in the European yachting scene. Unique in its focus on the Eastern European market, it stands as a vital nexus for industry connections and opportunities.
The setting of the Arsenale adds to the grandeur of the event. Spanning a 50,000 sq m basin, the exhibition will see boats elegantly moored along 1,100 m of docks. This impressive layout, supported by extensive infrastructural enhancements within the Arsenal complex, offers a stunning display against the backdrop of Venice’s rich maritime history. The show also includes 30,000 sq m of external exhibition areas and factory buildings dating back to the 1500s, seamlessly blending historical charm with modern luxury.
This edition holds special significance as Venice reaffirms its role as the “World Sustainability Capital”, an especially poignant designation in a year that marks the 700th anniversary of Marco Polo’s death. Polo, the pioneering Venetian explorer, was among the first to navigate the “Eastern” markets by sea, a legacy that the Venice Boat Show proudly honours.
The total number of exhibitors in the 2024 edition is around 270, among which 216 are Italian (80% of the total). Major Italian players (Ferretti Group, Azimut Benetti, Sanlorenzo, Solaris Yachts, Rizzardi, Pardo, Sessa, Tornado, Absolute and FIM e Wider), as well as 50 Venetian shipyards and exhibitors will take part.
