The dial’s handsome black-tie allure is confected with a background of polished black hematite mineral set with a profusion of radiant diamonds.

As many as 220 baguette-cut diamonds illuminate the dial and highlight the different functions. Employing the refined art of invisible setting, the baguette-cut diamonds are calibrated to extremely close tolerances. The beauty of this setting is that the stones can bask in the light with no trace of their supporting structure.

Thanks to their luminescent coating, the hour and minute hands on both sub-dials are always legible, even at night.

The 18-karat white gold case, which measures 46mm across and 15.5mm high, is bathed with the light of 144 baguette-cut diamonds – barring the crown, the crown guards, and the pushers. Using an exceptionally challenging invisible setting, Harry Winston’s gem-setters have created a masterpiece. Although it might look as though the bezel and the lugs are set with individual baguette-cut diamonds on the surface, they feature two independent rows of tightly packed diamonds, one on the top surface and another on the flanks. Honouring Mr Winston’s high jewellery legacy, each stone is individually cut to ensure accuracy and fluidity of the design.

Steering the precision on board is a high-end Swiss automatic movement with an impressive 110-hour power reserve for the hours, minutes, GMT, day/night indications, cities of the world and tourbillon with seconds.

The movement and the white gold rotor, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, are beautifully hand-finished and decorated with circular Côtes de Genève motifs.

The Ocean Tourbillon GMT Worldtimer is presented on an elegant black alligator strap fastened to the wrist with an 18-karat white gold ardillon buckle set with 24 baguette-cut diamonds.
