Luxury car brand Genesis has made its debut in Bahrain with the reveal of its flagship model, the Genesis G90 sedan.
First Motors, the distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Bahrain, hosted the launch of the new luxury brand at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain yesterday.
Guests were offered a closer look at the outstanding features and elements of the Genesis G90. The event was attended by VIP guests, a host of media representatives and enthusiasts of the previous iteration of the Genesis vehicles.
Nawaf Khalid Al Zayani, the Managing Director of First Motors, said: “On behalf of everyone at First Motors, I would like to proudly announce the launch of Hyundai’s first ever luxury automotive brand and its pioneering venture, the all-new Genesis G90, in Bahrain. This is indeed a joyous occasion for us as, through the magnificence of the G90, Genesis, as a brand, has now established a prestigious name for itself in the global, regional and local markets. Reflecting a previously unsurpassed level of customer integration and convenience, the Genesis flagship sedan focuses on ‘Human-Centred Luxury’ with cutting-edge innovations. With the launch of Genesis as a stand-alone, luxury brand, our clients can be assured of the quality that is being injected into the marque. Being the brand’s first model, this is a milestone in Hyundai’s history and we are honoured to present this fine example of automotive technology and performance engineering to the Kingdom of Bahrain.”
The Genesis G90 is a premium luxury sedan with world-class technological innovations and the highest levels of refinement, convenience and dynamic performance. It redefines the luxury experience by being shaped on consumer-focused values at every level, and delivers a vehicle grounded in premium comfort. The distinctive appearance of the car exudes both confidence and originality, embodying the Genesis brand design identity of ‘Athletic Elegance’. The G90 silhouette is both powerful and refined, from its prominent hood, generous wheelbase, minimized overhangs and sophisticated rear deck surfacing.
Presenting fresh appeal through innovative styling and sporting proportions, the car’s identity is conveyed through a Genesis-family design feature, the ‘Crest’ grille, and crowned with the winged Genesis emblem. Refined use of chrome elements also serve to create an elegant and premium appearance, along with standard 19-inch alloy wheels. In the rear, chrome dual asymmetrical exhaust tips integrated in the lower bumper balance the vertical LED taillights providing a modern luxury feel.
The G90 is available in six colours that were specifically created to accentuate its distinctive lines and the colour palette has been painstakingly matched to its interior environments and sophisticated material selections.
From the horizontal and graceful layout of driver controls and genuine, premium material selection, to meticulous craftsmanship, virtually every element of the interior focuses on the passengers in enhancing their sense of luxury. Passenger space is a key component of interior comfort and design, and the new G90 has significantly improved spaciousness.
The G90 provides uncompromised standardised safety with a comprehensive suite of cutting-edge technology. This suite brings together systems such as Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Smart Cruise Control with Stop/Start, Smart Blind Stop Detection and Lane Keep Assist.
Powered by a choice of 3.3 litre V6 or 5.0 litre V8 engine coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission, the All-New Genesis G90 is available at the First Motors showroom in Sitra with lifetime warranty, 5 years /100,000-km service package, 5 years roadside assist, home to home service and Genesis Concierge Service.
