Several yachts designed by Nuvolari Lenard will be on display at the Monaco Yacht Show, which runs from September 28 to October 1.
Both senior partners of the Italian firm – designer Dan Lenard and naval architect/engineer Carlo Nuvolari – will also be present at the show.
In July, Nuvolari Lenard unveiled a new 66-m NL233 motoryacht conceived for Turquoise Yachts which it described as a sexy, sporty machine designed with fast fluid lines that extend from her vertical bow all the way to the stern.
Typical of Nuvolari Lenard designs is a continuity that makes the yacht appear as if it is all of one piece – where the hull and superstructure form a seamless line.
“It is impossible to have a nicely proportioned design by separating the hull and the superstructure,” says Nuvolari. “Beautiful buildings and automobiles are composed of integrated parts; so too should a yacht be.”
The 66-m yacht has a sweeping sundeck that offers a flexible Mediterranean living area which can be protected from wind and weather via glass partitions. Other notable features are the luxurious beach club adjacent to the swim platform and a generous garage capable of handling two 8+ m luxury tenders as well as jet skis and other toys.
The yacht has a full-beam owner’s suite while guests are accommodated in two VIP and four double guest cabins. The steel and aluminium yacht is projected to reach a top speed of 16 knots.
In June, Nuvolari Lenard was presented with the prestigious Nautical Pioneer Award (Pionieri della Nautica) by UCINA at the Salone Accessori TECnologie (Satec) conference in Venice.
UCINA, the Italian Maritime Industry Association, is one the leading Italian associations in the marine industry and is dedicated to the development and promotion of knowledge about the sea and boating tourism in Italy.
“We are grateful and pleased by UCINA’s recognition for our work,” says Nuvolari. “We are particularly honoured that its 27th annual award ceremony took place in our beloved Venice, where Nuvolari Lenard has had its design studio for nearly 25 years.”
Nuvolari Lenard excels in large yacht design, serial production yachts, and residential and yacht interior design.
Nuvolari Lenard currently has wide-ranging and diverse yachts in build at several world-class builders such as Lürssen, Oceanco, CRN, Monte Carlo Yachts, Adler Yachts, and Beneteau.
Nuvolari Lenard’s projects span the gamut from semi-production yachts such as the entire line at Monte Carlo Yachts (MCY) to a 105-m environmentally advanced sailing yacht at Oceanco to a 139-m ultra-custom motoryacht at Lürssen.
