Le Méridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre in Dubai, UAE, has opened Le Royal Club, its new 196-room signature wing.
Built as part of a Dh450 million ($122 million) expansion, the exclusive wing was inaugurated yesterday by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai’s Civil Aviation Authority, CEO and Chairman of Emirates Group and Chairman of Dubai Airports.
Spread across 38 acres of landscaped gardens, the eight-storey wing boasts some of the largest hotel rooms in the city. Measuring a spacious 52 sq m, each room is equipped with every modern comfort and the latest in technology.
In addition, personalised check-in lounges on each floor make guests feel welcome and relaxed.
Developed by wasl Asset Management Group, the annex houses a rooftop pool and an exclusive Club lounge.
It offers Le Royal Club benefits along with signature services such as a 24-hour valet service.
“Le Royal Club is an important new development for both wasl and for the city of Dubai,” says Hesham Abdullah Al Qassim, CEO wasl Asset Management Group. “This is the first time our organisation has been involved in such a hospitality project, so it marks a major milestone for the wasl portfolio. It is also a significant development for Dubai’s business travel segment, with the luxury annex situated in a prime location close to Dubai International Airport. This convenience, allied to its impeccable standards of appointment and services, means that we are expecting Le Royal Club to enjoy high occupancy rates.”
“We are delighted to have opened the doors to our Le Royal Club as part of our expansion to cater to the growing segments of our business. By second quarter of 2015 we will be offering state-of-the-art event and conference facilities to complement the 580 rooms and 18 food and beverage venues of our hotel,” says Ranjan Nadarajah, General Manager of the hotel.
Le Méridien, the Paris-born hotel brand currently represented by nearly 100 properties in more than 40 countries, is part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
