Swiss watchmaker Hublot’s Classic Fusion Berluti watch now comes with a green strap that has been created just for the Middle East.
The straps of the 200-model limited edition Classic Fusion Berluti Scritto Emerald Green are expertly carved from Venezia Scritto calf leather with writing inspired by calligraphy. A mysterious halo emanates from the enthralling emerald green leather that dresses the dial and straps, beautifully contrasting with the titanium.
Berluti’s emblematic Venezia leather and its famous patina, in a fusion with Hublot’s creativity and watchmaking expertise give way to the third version of the watch. Style and sophistication in design and colour turn this limited edition into the perfect timepiece to be exclusive for the Middle East.
"Earlier this year, we launched our first two Classic Fusion Berluti editions with the most emblematic leather there is. After tobacco and nero, we turn to emerald green for the third edition, a colour that is special to the Middle East,” says Hublot CEO Ricardo Guadalupe.
The Classic Fusion Berluti is described as a watch with a colourful character and deep soul, “ideal for the classic gentleman who is looking for that little extra touch that defines his style”.
Olga Berluti's ingenuity created Berluti’s Venezia leather with exclusive tanning. Hublot has realized the art of dressing its dials with this noble and natural material. This complex and delicate process requires the organic components of leather to be neutralized making each dial inimitable. The limited edition exclusive to the Middle East reveals the skills of both Hublot and the Berluti House.
"The first two Classic Fusion Berluti editions were very successful with our Middle East clientele, so we are now launching this special Scritto Emerald Green piece to reward our customers in the region and to honour their fashion sense and refined style,” says Marco Tedeschi, Hublot Regional Director Middle East & Africa.
The Classic Fusion Berluti straps have been created through the same procedure dedicated to Berluti leather: from patterning, shaping, cutting and assembling the leather pieces, to the mounting of the strap and lacquering. Each strap is enviably exclusive. The timepieces are presented in emerald green Venezia leather. The Berluti waxed and brushed objects are an invitation to a ritual, an observance to brilliance.
Berluti dates back to Paris in 1895 and has been built by four generations of shoemakers. In 2005 fine leather goods were introduced and, in 2011, a complete clothing collection as well as a bespoke service available in Paris in its rue de Sèvres store. Berluti has more than 45 stores in all the major cities since 2013.
Hublot’s Chairman Jean-Claude Biver and Guadalupe have made the brand a success with models like the Big Bang, King Power and Classic Fusion that symbolise a forward-looking tradition. From great watchmaking complications, via research and the manufacture of new materials, to collaborations at a global level such as the FIFA World Cup and Ferrari, Hublot represents the "Art of Fusion", between traditional watchmaking and avant-garde techniques.
