Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai, UAE, has opened an exclusive new clubhouse.
With its prestigious residences and two championship golf courses, Jumeirah Golf Estates is home to the DP World Tour Championship, the final tournament of The European Tour’s Race to Dubai, which tees off tomorrow.
The new clubhouse was inaugurated by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates airline and Group, in the presence of Mohammed Al Shaibani, Director General of HH Ruler’s Court and CEO of the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD).
Also present were world-leading golfers Henrik Stenson from Sweden, Northern Ireland’s Rory McIIroy and Justin Rose of England.
The clubhouse offers food and beverage options, events spaces and recreational facilities.
Yousuf Kazim, General Manager of Jumeirah Golf Estates, said: “Jumeirah Golf Estates is already a thriving community of families and international visitors, and the opening of the clubhouse is a milestone development that cements its status as the region’s leading residential golf community.
“Given the extensive array of recreational facilities now on offer in the heart of the community, we anticipate increased demand for our growing property portfolio especially our recently launched Redwood Park and Redwood Avenue developments.”
The clubhouse’s dining options include the Fresca Café and Delicatessen, the Swirl Bar and Lounge overlooking the 18th hole on the Earth Course, and the contemporary Flame Tree Restaurant & Grill, which offers a selection of international cuisine in a fine dining setting.
Open for lunch and dinner sittings, the restaurant’s indoor and outdoor seating areas offer spectacular daytime and twilight views of the 18th hole on the Fire Course.
Other facilities include the Race to Dubai Suite – an intimate private dining room for special events and celebrations, The Boardroom – a fully equipped meeting room for up to 16 delegates, and a tranquil 500 capacity outdoor events lawn with stunning views of the Dubai’s skyline.
Stenson, who is also Jumeirah Golf Estate’s brand ambassador, commented: “It is great to be back at Jumeirah Golf Estates to celebrate the opening of this fantastic Clubhouse in time for the DP World Tour Championship - a staple tournament in my diary every year. The facilities are on par with the world’s best, making the community a top choice for golfers, residents and visitors from around the world.”
Neal Graham, General Manager of Club Operations at Jumeirah Golf Estates, said the clubhouse will become “the social focal point of Jumeirah Golf Estates for members, residents and visitors.”
Now in its sixth year, the 2014 DP World Tour Championship is taking place over four days on the 72 par Earth course from November 20 to 23 and will host the top 60 golfers.
Jumeirah Golf Estates is part of European Tour Properties – a network of world class golf venues which all have a close association with the European Tour, one of the game’s foremost organisations.
Jumeirah Golf Estates has 1,000 homes (constructed and under construction). Situated just 20 minutes from The Palm and Dubai Marina, it is well placed to provide an unforgettable experience at its two championship golf courses, Fire & Earth, and luxury homes within easy reach of Dubai’s top attractions. From its state-of-the-art clubhouse to restaurants, swimming pools and fitness centres, Jumeirah Golf Estates has a wide variety of entertainment and recreation facilities that provide a superior lifestyle.
