The D-Table is a maxi tablet with a large multi-touch interactive screen which lets a user browse the Internet, manage a conference call or a presentation, watch a music video or even play a digital piano!
Conceived by Italian fashion designer Danilo Cascella, the tablet takes the form of elegant table that looks totally at home in a luxurious mansion, a hotel, a superyacht or even a private jet.
The table allows multimedia content to be shared between multiple users via manual and instinctive fluid movements.
Its touch-sensitive surface is able to perceive up to 100 finger movements at a time, isolating and excluding unintentional movements from one’s palms or elbows.
Offering a high resolution screen (3840 by 2160 pixels) in sizes 48, 55 and 85 inches, the D-Table operates on Windows 10 and above and comes in five models: D-Zero, D-Time, D-Cosmo, D-Monster and D-Square.
It has Intel’s i5 processor which has a speed of 2.8 Ghz, a 500 GB hard drive, 8 GB of RAM expandable up to 32 GB, and Bluetooth, wi-fi and USB 3.0 connectivity.
The D-Table is available at Cascella's flagship store in Porto Cervo and can also be seen at the Visionnaire Design Gallery in Milan, the Rome Cavalieri and De Russie hotels in Rome, and Zelo’s restaurant in Monaco.
It costs upwards of €28,000 ($29,800).
