The founders of Bousten Aviation were among a group of entrepreneurs honoured by Monaco for their contributions to the principality, during the fifth annual Trophées de l’Eco.
Organised by Nice-Matin on behalf of the Monaco Economic Board, the awards were held at the Grimaldi Forum earlier this month, to highlight the diversity and excellence of the Monegasque economic fabric.
The event was attended by 400 people including Minister of State Serge Telle, Minister of Finance Jean Castellini, Nice-Matin group President Jean-Marc Pastorino and Monaco Economic Board President Michel Dotta.
Boutsen Aviation, which was founded in 1997 by former Formula 1 driver Thierry Boutsen, specialises in the purchase and sale of business aircraft.
Since its creation, nearly 350 aircraft have been sold thanks to a sales team exclusively made up of training pilots. The range of services offered by Boutsen Aviation is wide: import-export, bareboat rental, commission, brokerage, representation and management of all civil aircraft, intended for an international clientele.
Boutsen Aviation also holds the title of “By Appointment to HSH Prince Albert II”.
Thierry and Daniela Boutsen were awarded the Special Jury Prize and the entire team of Boutsen Aviation Monaco was present as Thierry and Daniela took the stage to accept the first award of the evening, presented by Christian Pinault of Caisse d’Epargne Côte D’Azur and Michel Prost Dumont of BP Mediterranée.
Other winners included Jean-Franck Bussotti of Safas (Innovation), Salvatore De Luca of New Era (Sustainable Development), Mirco and Charles Albisetti of Frimo (International), Bruno Pariset of Conti (Made in Monaco), and Mikael Krafft of Star Clippers (Manager of the Year).
