Mercedes-AMG has created four exclusive “designo manufaktur” G 63 editions exclusively for the GCC, in appreciation and recognition of its customers in the region.
Each of these luxury SUV editions - Gulf Falcon, Blue Oryx, Red Cobra and Pearl Oyster – is finished with colours referenced by the region’s indigenous environment.
These colours are desert sand (Gulf Falcon), designo mauritius blue metallic (Blue Oryx), tektite grey (Red Cobra) and designo mystic white (Pearl Oyster).
Limited to only 63 vehicles per edition, the luxury SUVs are available for pre-order.
With the purchase of each off-roader, customers will also receive “The Key Vault” – a box which will reflect the limited edition number of the vehicle (e.g. 1 of 63) and a special badge that can be placed on the body of the car to set it apart on the road.
The designo manufaktur programme allows customers to tailor the off-road icon to their own personal style, enabling them to choose equipment and appointments features, unique and exclusive colour and material compositions inside and out, and a host of combination options.
“The G-Class is all about contrasts rather than contradictions. It is an accomplished blend of cross-country vehicle and luxury saloon. There is no entry-level here: style and comfort abound in every edition. The individualisation programme allows customers to make their G-Class as individual as their home. The limited editions will be highly welcomed by our discerning customers in the GCC as it offers them what they have always been looking for – the best or nothing,” said Lennart Mueller-Teut, Head of Marketing & Communications, Mercedes-Benz Cars Middle East.
COLORS, WHEELS
Customers can also choose from an extended line-up of light-alloy wheels painted in black. A perfect addition comes in the shape of various inlays for the exterior side rub strips, and are available in carbon fibre look, and in black for the other variants. The overall look is rounded off with the stainless steel ring for the spare wheel cover, which can be painted either in black or in the body colour.
NIGHT PACKAGE
The Night Package, which is familiar from many passenger car models and very popular among customers, is now also available for the G-Class. With striking design features in black, the Night Package underscores the expressive character of the GClass. Exterior mirror housings, flared wheel arches, bumpers and the roof are finished in obsidian black metallic. Furthermore, the inlays on the exterior side rub strip and the light-alloy wheels are painted in black. The Night Package is also supplemented by heat-insulating, dark-tinted glass.
DESIGNO MANUFAKTUR INTERIOR
The numerous options for individualising the interior perfectly match the expressive exterior. New additions include the designo leather upholstery in the colours saddle brown, deep-sea blue, silk beige and mocha brown.
The topstitching on the seats, head restraints, dashboard, door handles, armrests and handbrake lever are perfectly coordinated with the upholstery colours, thus underscoring the hand-finished concept as well as the new two-tone designo interiors. The colour combinations designo leather mocha brown/black with topstitching in dark tobacco, or designo leather deep-sea blue / black with topstitching in deep-sea blue are available for the seats, dashboard, centre console and steering wheel.
"designo manufaktur" offers an even sportier touch with the Dinamica Interior package. This includes the AMG performance steering wheel in black nappa leather, with the grip area trimmed in Dinamica microfibre, as well as the seat and door centre panels along with the roof liner, seats, head restraints, dashboard, door handles, armrest and handbrake with white topstitching.
Other interior details include the coloured seat belts in designo red and the leather-covered grab handles on the roof liner.
In short, individuality virtually knows no bounds on-board the G-Class, says Mercedes AMG, the high performance division of Mercedes-Benz.
