For Valentine’s Day 2017, the House of Bovet is presenting an exclusive “His & Her” gift featuring two timepieces in stainless steel and blue dials.
The special watches are the Amadeo Fleurier Miss Audrey for ladies and the 19Thirty Fleurier for gentlemen.
Miss Audrey is a gem of femininity, refinement and versatility, the Swiss watchmaker says. Housed in a 36-mm diameter stainless steel case, it features the Amadeo convertible system, enabling it to adorn the wrist, be worn as a pendant or even act as a table clock, without the use of any tools whatsoever.
Despite its thinness, Miss Audrey is nevertheless powered by a self-winding mechanical movement, ensuring its beauty inside-out.
Last but not least, it showcases a deep vibrant midnight blue dial with masterful guilloche work executed by the artisans at Bovet 1822’s in-house manufacture, once again confirming their talent and craftsmanship.
The 19Thirty collection, which comes in a stainless steel case, borrows its aesthetics from a 1930’s Bovet “easel” chronometer, one of the last pocket watches to be manufactured by Bovet before wristwatches became widespread.
A success since its launch in September 2015, the 19Thirty is powered by an in-house caliber developed specifically for this collection. The watch comes in a choice of three dials – blue circular brushed, black circular brushed or ivory polished lacquered – and three types of numerals – Arabic, Chinese or Roman.
The timepiece featured for Valentine’s Day is housed in the signature Fleurier case with its distinctive crown and bow at 12 o’clock. Drawing its energy from a single barrel, this hand-wound mechanical movement ensures a seven-day power reserve.
The matching deep blue and steel decors of the two timepieces for Valentine’s Day embody the perfect token of the genuine significance of this celebration, the house says.
