Swiss watchmaker Omega is advising hopeless romantics to choose its Globemaster Annual Calendar and the De Ville Ladymatic as gifts for each this this coming Valentine’s Day.
No Valentine's Day is complete without an offering of fine jewellery and these two watches make the perfect pair of timepieces, the brand says.
With its stainless steel case and hard metal (tungsten carbide) bezel, this Globemaster Annual Calendar is the toughest watch to ever inspire a tender moment.
The opaline-silvery "pie pan" dial is reminiscent of the first 1952 Constellation model. Each of its facets includes a month of the year in keeping with the Annual Calendar function. There is a blued Constellation star and Omega logo. The blued facetted hands and indexes have been filled with Super-LumiNova.
The caseback includes a Central Observatory medallion set in scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and the brown leather strap provides the perfect finishing touch.
Within, the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Annual Calendar Calibre 8922 is the ultimate beating heart and features revolutionary anti-magnetic technology.
DE VILLE LADYMATIC CO-AXIAL 34 MM
Omega’s most quintessentially feminine timepiece, the Ladymatic first appeared in 1955, and became a defining timepiece in women's fashion. Six decades on, it still retains every ounce of captivating style and grace.
In this model, stainless steel has been used to create both the 34 mm case and the bracelet. The polished alpha-shaped hands have been crafted with white gold, along with 11 indexes, which are set with diamonds.
The attractive dial is made with white pearled mother-of-pearl, to accentuate the feminine touch.
Days are tracked by a date window at 3 o'clock, while the inner body includes the Omega Co-Axial calibre 8520.
For those who want to go the extra mile, there’s also the Ladymatic ring. Graceful, sensual and easy to wear, this timeless piece of fine jewellery will endure long after the chocolates have gone and the roses have wilted, says Omega, adding that with its seductive wave patterns, the ring, in 18-karat white gold with 44 diamonds, elegantly reinterprets the Ladymatic watch case, creating a strong link with its namesake timepiece.
