Swiss luxury watch brand Roger Dubuis has opened a flagship store in Harrods.
The choice of famous Knightsbridge store confirms Roger Dubuis’s accession in the world of haute horlogerie and is an important step for the brand as it places it within one of the largest luxury retail spaces in London.
Harrods is one of the world’s leading international shopping destinations and it is only natural for Roger Dubuis to be showcasing in the famous luxury department store, the Geneva-based brand says.
The boutique’s concept and construction has been overseen by the brand’s Creative Director Alvaro Maggini, and it is heralded as a very exciting and strategically important opportunity for the brand by CEO, Jean-Marc Pontroué.
The brand’s teams were able to recreate a Roger Dubuis retail environment in this 30-sq-m space, using the same distinctive jewellery box design and subtle incorporation of braided leather, bronze, and wood to create an intimate and sophisticated environment that can be found in all of the brand’s boutiques worldwide.
Like its older siblings, this latest addition in the Roger Dubuis line-up of boutiques provides a reflection of the brand’s flawless discipline and relentless quest for perfection, while also embodying its extravagant and exuberant personality.
Two exclusive timepieces will be made available in the new boutique - the highly coveted Excalibur Knights of the Round Table II timepiece and the other the Excalibur Spider Pocket Time instrument.
These timepieces will be on show and available to purchase alongside an expansive collection of Roger Dubuis timepieces, focusing for 2017 on the brand’s Excalibur and Velvet collections.
