Italian shipbuilder CRN has revealed first details of a new superyacht which is currently under construction at its yard in Ancona.
The new yacht, hull number 137, has been engineered by CRN’s Ancona-based Technical Department, complimented by Italian firm Nuvolari Lenard, who took care of exterior concept and interior design.
At 62 m long and with a beam of 11.50 m, the yacht embodies CRN’s modern approach to displacement motor yachts.
Classical lines have been replaced by the unmistakable all-Italian style of Nuvolari Lenard, revealing rakish and yet harmonious lines that seem to be shaped by the wind. The bow is vertical, not to follow the current trend, but to ensure maximum length in the water, thereby increasing speed and maximising the forward volumes, where the garage is located.
CRN’s Technical Department turned Nuvolari Lenard’s concept into reality by optimising technical spaces with no detriment to the interior layout. The aft Owner’s stateroom, opens up to the al fresco dining area. The upper deck, which has now become the Owner’s Deck, includes a forward panoramic lounge that can remain, at the discretion of the owner, private or open.
The new vessel features 5 decks and includes the Owner’s stateroom and 5 VIP cabins, hosting up to 12 guests. It will be equipped with two MTU 12V4000 M63 1500 Kw @1800 RPM engines that will push it to a maximum speed of 16 knots.
Three more vessels are currently under construction at CRN: 74 m M/Y CRN 131, to be delivered during the spring and presented as an international première at the Monaco Yacht Show in September; 79 m M/Y CRN 135; and 50 m M/Y CRN 136 “Superconero”.
The Italian shipbuilder CRN is a company of the Ferretti Group. It was established in 1963 in Ancona, the seat of CRN’s headquarters, offices, design and construction departments.
CRN specialises in the design and construction of fully-custom, steel and aluminium yachts up to 100 m in length. The shipyard in Ancona extends over an almost 80,000 sq m area and includes a large, historical private marina. It is here that all megayachts of the CRN fleet - which can currently boast more than 180 vessels in the water - are built, besides aluminium and light alloy models for other Ferretti Group brands.
A member of Sybass (Superyacht Builder Association), CRN develops unparalleled projects characterised by state-of-art solutions which are real trend-setters in the yachting world. The company can rely on a team of engineers, architects and technicians that conceive the best-performing bottoms, naval platforms, as well as outstanding architectural and design solutions created by internationally-renowned designers in charge of the yachts’ functional and aesthetic design.
The Ferretti Group is a world leader in the design, construction and sale of motor yachts and pleasure vessels, with a unique portfolio of prestigious and exclusive brands: Ferretti Yachts, Riva, Pershing, Itama, Mochi Craft, CRN, and Custom Line.
