Lufthansa Technik will be showcasing its formidable array of services and products for executive and luxury aviation at the Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) show, which opens its doors in Dubai, UAE, today.
These include its pioneering ‘chair’ seating concept, and scaled (1:20) mock-up of a VIP Boeing 747-8, and even a unique bird stand called the Falcon Master, which has been specially designed for Middle East clients.
“At MEBA, we are presenting our all-encompassing services for VIP, executive jet and special mission aircraft of any size,” says a spokesman for the German headquartered VIP completions specialist and MRO provider.
“With more than 60 years of experience and more than 90 narrow-body and wide-body VIP aircraft completions to date, Lufthansa Technik is the unrivalled market leader. Assuring individual completions and technical care at the highest level, this proven leadership is why we rightly claim that our service is ‘pure gold’,” he adds.
Elaborating on the Falcon Master, he continues: “Passion, attention to detail and determination: these are the characteristics that make a great falconer. You can rely on the same qualities from us when you entrust your priceless flying estate to Lufthansa Technik. At MEBA, will show you the masterful side of our work in the most literal sense of the word: the new Falcon Master offers you freedom on any flight, whether with your own jet or an airline, as you wing your way around the globe.”
The adjustable stand is said to be hygienically built of stainless steel and can incorporate a cage or cover.
Lufthansa Technik is also exhibiting its pioneering ‘chair’ seating concept and visitors to the show will be able to try out what it bills as “the future of VIP seating”.
‘chair’ is a 16 G certified family of seats that offers VIP aircraft owners and designers a range of possibilities for adapting cabin seating to the needs of passengers, the spokesman says.
Since completing the VIP interiors of a Boeing 747 belonging to a Middle East government operator in the mid-1980s, Lufthansa Technik has completed 19 jumbo jets for heads of state, including the 747SP, 747-300 and 747-400.
With two 747-8s in its hangars scheduled for delivery in 2015, other 747-8 projects in negotiation and more than 70 jumbos under exclusive service contracts, Lufthansa Technik is the number one completions centre and technical service provider for 747s worldwide, he points out.
Meanwhile, in a continuing effort to serve its clients better, Lufthansa Technik is increasing its presence and services in the region.
“A strengthened sales and customer service team stands for Lufthansa Technik’s commitment to meet the needs of VIP, executive jet and special mission aircraft owners,” the spokesman says.
MEBA is being held at the new Dubai Airshow site at Dubai World Central (DWC), which is billed as the world’s first ‘aerotropolis’ and includes the Al Maktoum International Airport.
Lufthansa Technik will be at booth 500 at the show.
