Hackett London’s Autumn/Winter 2017 collection focuses on heritage design and quality craftsmanship with a collection fit for both the city slicker and country gent.
The collection is broken down into four key themes; City Skyline, City Highlands, Mr Classic and The Journey.
CITY SKYLINE
The City Skyline theme showcases Hackett’s luxury Mayfair collection, of which tailoring and British cloth is at the heart. Key design details have been inspired by City skyline’s across the world which juxtapose the new against old. This new tailoring collection is a reflection of the dynamic and energetic urban landscapes with a respectful acknowledgement of the past.
Suiting jackets are introduced in a longer length paying homage to traditional British style and fabrics from renowned British mills such as Fox Brothers give a weightier and more authentic feel. Colours echo the skyline, with highlights of navy, sandstone and slate with pops of bold blue , contrasting shades of grey and Bordeaux.
The shades and textures reflect city window panes and contrasting materials evident across the skyline. Key pieces include the Mayfair Broken Herringbone blazer and waist coat, Mayfair Glen Check Peak Lapel Suit and the Mayfair Large Scale Check Coat. .
THE JOURNEY
Presenting a fresh approach to travelling in sartorial elegance, the Hackett Mayfair collection offers additional pieces to the ‘The Journey’ capsule collection this season.
Each piece is designed for the gentleman on the go with garments containing thoughtful pockets for gadgets and laser cut heat sealed pockets designed to carefully carry items like tickets, passports and sunglasses.
Suiting, jackets, outerwear and accessories are available in technical fabrics that offer comfort, breathability, water repellent and non-crease qualities.
A key piece includes a pair of soft flannel trousers with an elasticated waist, stylish pleats and a thinner leg, a selection of jet setter shirts in seven styles for seven days of the week and the Wool Car Coat.
CITY HIGHLANDS
Blending classic pieces with an urban approach, the City Highlands collection is for the gentleman who wants to feel contemporary yet remain firmly rooted in the traditions of British style.
The collection offers warmth, texture and an earthiness of country style that wouldn’t be out of place in a field or walking through London’s Sloane Square. Key pieces include the green Highland Parka with leather and shearling details, wool check trousers in blue, grey and red as well as a tan leather jacket. The new tweed tote bag and rucksack and hiking boots in various colourways provides the finishing touches to the country/city aesthetic.
MR CLASSIC
New for Autumn/Winter 2017 and with a nod to Jeremy Hackett’s renowned book, Mr Classic is a modern, sportswear influenced collection. In a colour palette of grey and navy the collection combines a sportswear and public school sensibility through practical and versatile pieces. Key items include a 1970’s style Hackett branded grey sweatshirt with matching shorts.
The Hackett Autumn/Winter 2017 collection is available from September 2017 across global Hackett stores.
