Britain’s biggest yacht manufacturer Sunseeker International will show off its full line up of eight models at the 2017 Cannes Yachting Festival, including a world premier and three show debuts.
Sunseeker will be displaying its range of motor yachts at the first show of the boating season, as part of over 500 yachts, 500 exhibitors and over 50,000 visitors attending the event in the Bay of Cannes from September 12 to 17.
Visitors will have the opportunity to view the world premiere of Sunseeker’s Predator 57 MK II, along with the new Manhattan 66, 68 Sport Yacht and the magnificent 131 Yacht, all making their first appearance at the show.
PREDATOR 57 MK II
The Predator 57 MK II is an evolution of the popular Predator 57 which has been the segment leader since its introduction in January 2015, echoing all its stand out features with even more elegance and style.
Sporty and sleek, the Sunseeker Predator 57 MK II is crafted to perfectly balance style with practicality. Epitomising the latest Sunseeker design cues, the refreshed exterior has sleek, yet oversized pillarless windows down to the side deck which floods the interior with light and provides uninterrupted views from the saloon.
The transom area now features an optional mini beach club – an option first introduced with the Manhattan 52 in 2016 and now a Sunseeker signature feature. This area offers an inviting space for family and friends to enjoy the built-in barbeque, overhead shower and fold-down transom seating.
The patio door, which separates the saloon from the cockpit, lowers at the flick of a switch to create one incredible entertaining space, allowing the craft to adapt for different climates, which is further enhanced by a fully opening hardtop roof over the saloon.
The Predator 57 MK II certainly doesn’t sacrifice performance for style. With speeds of up to 40 knots (depending on the engine/drive option chosen), it cuts an impressive figure on the open water with exemplary seakeeping and unmatched agility. Featuring six berths in three cabins, with an additional crew cabin for one, the full beam master cabin is located amidship with ensuite, lounge seating and vanity space. It truly is a yacht designed for cruising in luxury and is sure to remain the benchmark for the segment.
MANHATTAN 66
Having already sold 43 boats since its launch in January, this innovative new model for 2017 is designed to maximise space and entertainment options with exceptional panoramic hull and saloon windows providing light-drenched living spaces throughout. Its brand new deep V hull offers signature Sunseeker performance and impeccable seakeeping, whilst its open-plan layout provides ample space on board to rival much larger yachts.
Throughout the main deck, there is a strong focus on creating generous, useable open-plan, sociable spaces. Her exterior lines flow effortlessly from the bow seating and sunbathing areas to the expansive cockpit adjoining the well-equipped aft galley and saloon on the main deck. Optionally, the galley can be specified on the lower deck creating an even more open entertainment space in the main saloon.
The newly configured flybridge also creates the feeling that you are on board a much larger craft and has been designed with relaxation in mind, with extensive seating throughout, large forward sunbathing areas and a well-equipped wet-bar. The open-plan layout continues through to the wide bathing platform (capable of launching a Williams 385 Jet RIB) and transom ‘beach club’ where an optional barbecue, fold-away bench seat and overhead ‘rain shower’ truly set the Manhattan 66 apart from its peers.
Thanks to the galley being situated on the main deck, there is room enough for four very spacious cabins below including two large twin cabins, a forward VIP suite and standout full-beam master cabin with its own private stairway access from the saloon; a first for Sunseeker in this size range. The optional twin berth crew cabin, has separate access through the transom and enjoys a dedicated wetroom and ample stowage.
The second model in Sunseeker’s latest flybridge range, the Manhattan 66, has already received many plaudits and is sure to be another huge success for the brand.
68 SPORT YACHT
The 68 Sport Yacht’s sleek exterior lines have been enhanced by the addition of new hull glazing which gives her sporty profile a more contemporary look, emphasizing her sporting prowess. This new feature also increases natural light into the lower deck spaces too, ensuring that she is the perfect balance of style and practicality.
The new features continue into the vast cockpit, where an innovative powered glass door can be lowered away to create one incredible entertaining space. The cleverly engineered mechanism allows the door to open conventionally, but also lower itself away into the sole of the yacht providing a truly uninterrupted open space from the lower helm all the way to the transom.
Inside, the main saloon has received numerous enhancements through both new designs to furniture and subtle but highly effective detailing. State-of-the-art entertainment systems, high quality fabrics and plenty of natural light ensure you instantly know you are on board a Sunseeker. Below deck, the guest cabins are equally impressive, accommodating up to six guests in a three cabin layout, with an additional crew cabin for two. The galley is also located below, creating even more entertaining space in the main saloon.
On the lower deck, the new interior styling is just as impressive, showcasing a new combination of fine materials. The spacious, full beam master stateroom includes a generous en-suite and walk-in wardrobe to offer the perfect blend of comfort and elegance. The forward VIP cabin exudes a light yet luxurious feel and further exemplifies the extremely high standards Sunseeker is so well known for. When it comes to performance, the new 68 Sport Yacht cuts an impressive figure on the open water, with speeds of up to 38 knots depending on the engine configuration chosen.
The flybridge creates the feeling that you are on board a much larger craft and has been designed with both entertaining and relaxation in mind, with extensive U-shaped seating, a large sunbathing area and well-equipped wet-bar.
131 YACHT
The largest of five new models launched by Sunseeker in 2016, the 131 Yacht enables its owner to tailor every element of the interior design and layout to their personal preferences via Sunseeker’s unique ‘Bespoke’ service. Standard guest configuration is for ten guests in five cabins, with scope for up to 12 to be accommodated depending on the layout and options selected. A standout element is the addition of feature glass in the Master Stateroom, Saloon and Upper Saloon to create a light-filled relaxed, comfortable and enjoyable environment for owners and guests.
New exterior deck arrangements use deep lounge style seating to provide the ultimate in comfort for owners and their guests. In addition to this, the external Skydeck and Upper Deck Aft Cockpit have been lengthened by approximately two metres, creating additional deck space, accommodating new bar and seating layouts. Lower down, the spacious garage can accommodate a tender of up to 6.0m in length, plus two PWCs.
Based on the classic Sunseeker deep V hull, this large tri-deck yacht is equally comfortable operating at 10 knots for an extended cruising range of 1,500 nautical miles or at 23 knots for ultimate performance. Build time for each new 131 Yacht is around one year, with capacity in place to have up to four yachts in build simultaneously.
Alongside these models, Sunseeker will be showcasing the 95 Yacht, the 86 Yacht, the Predator 68, and the Manhattan 52.
Sunseeker International will also be showcasing its range of merchandise, named the ‘Sunseeker Collection’ at the Cannes Yachting Festival. Featuring a stunning selection of clothing, leather goods and accessories.
