The Baglietto 2017 season of international boat shows is opening with two world premieres, the Baglietto 48 m displacement motor yacht Andiamo, and the first model of MV19, Ridoc, both launched last June.
MY Andiamo will be attending the Cannes Yachting Festival (SYE225) from September 12 to 17 and the Monaco Yacht Show (QE16) from September 27 to 30.
This 48 m steel and aluminium displacement yacht under the 500grt has been designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, who took care of both her exterior lines and interiors, the latter in cooperation with architect Margherita Casprini.
The exterior lines represent the evolution of the renowned 46 m displacement model, drawing inspiration from the traditional stylish features of Baglietto displacement yachts while also making room for innovation, as can be noticed particularly in the ‘reversed’ glazing of the helm station, forward, which increases visibility from the bridge and the new and more modern athwart garage aft forward of a nice “beach club” area, when open.
Great volumes and comfortable liveability typical of Baglietto yachts represent the main characteristics of this project as it can count on considerable 350 sq m (3767 sq ft) of luxury areas. Another important feature is given by the spacious external areas, especially on the sun deck which offers 140 sq m (1506 sq ft) fully devoted to conviviality and life in the open air: it includes an infinity pool with falls, a dining area served by bar, barbecue and grill and a comfortable sunbathing area forward on the same deck. Another outdoor dining area is located aft on the upper deck, while two nice terraces open on both sides of the cinema room centrally located on this deck.
Interiors are contemporary and very captivating thank to the great use of precious materials like onyx and lacquered ebony. Amid ship a formal winding staircase in steel and leather which is the central element of the entire yacht, connects the three decks.
This yacht has a traditional layout, with five cabins dedicated to guests on the lower deck. The full-beam master stateroom is located aft on the main deck and includes a dressing room and two separate bathrooms (his and hers). Always on the main deck guests are welcomed by a conversation area with sofas and seats and dining area connected to the external aft peak through an impressive sliding door.
Visitors of Cannes Yachting Festival will be able to enjoy also MY Ridoc, the first model of MV19. The project of 19.50 m represents the natural evolution of the MV13 and has been designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design with Baglietto, both in terms of the exterior lines and the interiors.
The Baglietto technical office is responsible for the hull, plant and propulsion designs. The MV series draws its inspiration from the First and Second World War MAS paying tribute to the military crafts that made the success history of the Liguria-based yachting brand by reinterpreting some of their peculiar features and shapes in a modern style matching them with architectural elements adapted from the open segment. The symmetrical air intakes along the hull free board underline the rigorous style of both Francesco Paszkowski and the Baglietto open lines themselves.
The metallic dark grey colour enhances the aggressive lines of the boat giving her strength and power. The interior design, created in cooperation with architect Margherita Casprini, focuses on in-depth exploration of materials and finishes to combine a retro allure with contemporary comfort demands.
Also, the most up-dated audio-visual systems with satellite TV are included on board: a feature which is unusual in boat of this size. The upholstery is in Canaletto nut together with white lacquered walls while all the floors are in dark oak.
The result is a beautifully accessorised boat that still has a powerfully decisive character consistent with the sporty look of the exterior. The layout of Ridoc presents the master cabin forward and two guests’ cabins with ensuite bathroom amidship.
In between is a spacious open dinette with comfortable sofas and a well-equipped galley. According to the Owner wishes, a third cabin for the Captain with direct access from the exterior has been included. The steering position with 24’ screen is exterior. Behind it there is a comfortable dinette with wet bar. Forward and aft there are two large sun pad areas with cushions. The yacht, entirely built in aluminium, can reach a considerable maximum speed of approximately 40 knots.
