TAG Heuer launched its much-anticipated Dubai Connected Watch Modular 45 last week at its boutique in the Dubai Mall.
The event was held in association with the Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2017 festival which opened on July 1 and runs until August 12.
In attendance were Mohammed Abdulmagied Seddiqi, Chief Commercial Officer at Seddiqi & Sons and DTCM Executive Director of Retail and Strategic Alliances, Saeed Al Falasi.
Guests also enjoyed a special offer on the exclusive timepiece and welcomed a special appearance of friend of the brand Alex Hirschi signing merchandise for the occasion.
Launched earlier this year, the Connected Watch Modular 45 is a Swiss luxury watch engineered in collaboration with Intel. Water-resistant to 50 m, it features GPS, an NFC sensor for payments, a high definition Amoled screen, and wide selection of dials. Google’s Android Wear 2.0 and the new TAG Heuer Companion app improve the software experience and keep the user connected with the people and information that he or she care about most. In crafting this watch, only high-quality materials have been used, such as titanium, ceramic, rose gold, with impeccable attention to detail.
The Dubai special edition is limited to 200 watches and is designed in collaboration with the Dubai Department of Tourism & Marketing (Dubai Tourism). It combines Swiss watchmaking tradition and the TAG Heuer Avant-Garde spirit with the modern aesthetic of Dubai.
Priced at AED8,000 ($2,178), each watch comes with a special caseback and is mounted on a brown calfskin strap with rubber lining and an exclusive “Dubai” embossing. It also has a spare strap in the unmistakable shade of blue associated with Dubai. The watch faces themselves boast three innovative looks. The first option called “Dubai Classic” alludes to the fact that Dubai is a city that never sleeps, the second is titled “Dubai Paths” and recreates a sense of tranquility that takes users on a sensory voyage between land and sea and the third titled “Dubai Icons”, focuses on emblems that represent Dubai and its culture.
The Dubai watch faces are already loaded on the Dubai Special Edition or available for download on the Google Play store.
The TAG Heuer Connected Watch Modular 45 Dubai Special Edition can be found exclusively in Dubai at TAG Heuer stores, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons stores and soon at TAG Heuer stores in Dubai Duty Free.
