A new DoubleTree by Hilton hotel featuring 238 guest rooms and suites, all with floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views of Downtown Dubai, has opened its doors in the UAE city.
DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai – Business Bay joins two other DoubleTree by Hilton properties already open in Dubai and eight DoubleTree by Hilton properties open across the Middle East.
The new hotel is located in Bay Square, a low rise community square surrounded by shops, cafes and local businesses.
The hotel is ideally located between ‘old’ and ‘new’ Dubai, allowing guests to experience all the city has to offer.
Within close proximity and surrounding the newly opened Dubai Canal, is the new waterfront destination – Marasi Business Bay – that features a 10-km promenade, offering outdoor wellness and recreational activities.
The hotel also offers easy access to Downtown Dubai, which features numerous modern attractions, including the Dubai Opera, the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building.
Guests can also explore ‘old Dubai’, an area around Dubai Creek filled with textile, spice and gold souks. To make stays convenient, the hotel offers a free shuttle bus service to the business district, major tourist attractions and beaches.
“Dubai is a fast-growing, cosmopolitan city that offers visitors a range of activities, from shopping in the modern malls, to watching a performance at the opera, to abra rides on the creek,” said Dianna Vaughan, Senior Vice President and Global Head, DoubleTree by Hilton. “As the first and only hotel in Bay Square, DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai – Business Bay is ideal for travellers seeking accomodation in this popular new destination. We look forward to welcoming guests with something special at every stage of their stay, starting with our signature, warm DoubleTree cookie upon arrival.”
Food and beverage outlests include the all-day dining restaurant My Square, the Arabic-inspired Oud Lounge in the lobby area, and Bay Club, a casual pool deck. In addition, the hotel houses the world’s first PizzaExpress Live, which features live entertainment and delicious food, as well as Le Petit Belge, which serves Belgian beverages and cuisine.
Other facilites include an outdoor pool and a 24/7 gym, three treatment rooms, a sauna and a steam room and six meetings rooms, five of which offer natural daylight.
“Hilton’s portfolio stretches across the region, and we are pleased to have expanded our presence in Dubai with the opening of this beautiful new hotel,” said Rudi Jagersbacher, President, Middle East, Africa & Turkey, Hilton. “DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai – Business Bay is an exciting addition to an already bustling area of Dubai, and we are thrilled to bring yet another of our world-class properties to a city renowned for its hospitality. With this great addition to our portfolio, we now operate 10 Hilton properties in Dubai.”
“We are proud to have partnered with a world-class operator like Hilton to launch DoubleTree by Hilton Dubai – Business Bay, opening in Bay Square. The hotel reiterates Dubai Properties’ commitment to deliver exceptional lifestyle experiences for Dubai’s business and leisure travelers. Our aim is to further strengthen the Emirate’s diversified hospitality offerings by continuing to grow our portfolio of Hospitality Assets leading up to Expo 2020 and beyond,” said Juma Bin Darwish, Senior Executive Director Retail and Hotel Asset Management, Dubai Properties, which owns the property.
