Renowned Swiss jewellery and watch manufacturer Chopard has opened its first ‘high jewellery’ boutique in the Middle East, in Dubai, UAE.
Located at the prestigious Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, the boutique showcases Chopard’s haute joaillerie collections and boasts a sophisticated design concept by interior designer Thierry Despont.
“Dubai is a timeless, magical place – the backdrop to a sequence of spectacular moments and home to the world’s most stylish travellers,” comments Caroline Scheufele, Chopard’s Co-President and Artistic Director. “Chopard at The Four Seasons will be a globally renowned destination where jewellery lovers and connoisseurs will be invited to discover our unique creations in the most elegant of settings.”
Chopard’s haute joaillerie creations are designed by Caroline herself.
Created by a woman for the women, the collection is a reflection of femininity, and is fascinating and magical, says Chopard, adding that these creations are manufactured by skilled craftsmen at its ateliers in Geneva.
Their talent gives life to the most sophisticated designs including collections such as the Animal World Collection or the Red Carpet Collection.
The Red Carpet Collection is a testimony to Chopard’s talents in the field of haute joaillerie, with talented and experienced artisans mingling time-honoured techniques and cutting-edge technologies to craft these unique creations.
Chopard loves actresses. It was with them in mind that Caroline created the first Haute Joaillerie Red Carpet Collection in 2007.
Ever since it has become a yearly tradition for Chopard to unveil the latest additions to this collection at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
These one-of-a-kind pieces of jewellery adorn stars each evening as they walk the red carpet at the festival.
The romance between Chopard and the world’s most renowned film festival has blossomed since 1998, when Chopard became its official partner.
Each spring since 2007, Chopard offers a number of jewellery creations to match the number of festival editions to date.
Chopard’s other boutiques in Dubai are located at the Dubai Mall, the Mall of the Emirates, Atlantis, The Palm resort, and the Burj Al Arab.
In the UAE, Chopard is also retailed exclusively through Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, who also has an extensive portfolio of premium Swiss timepieces.
Chopard’s roots go back to more than 150 years, when Louis-Ulysse Chopard founded his own workshop in 1860 in Sonvillier, the Swiss Jura.
Since 1963, Chopard has been owned by the Scheufele family and its headquarters today are located in Geneva.
Internationally renowned for its watches and jewellery creations, the house employs 2,000 people worldwide.
The company is independent, vertically integrated and involved in the entire process from design to distribution with more than 1,600 points of sale and 150 boutiques. Over 30 different crafts are practiced at three manufacturing sites with a strong emphasis on in-house training.
Chopard has built its reputation on iconic collections such as the Happy Diamonds, Happy Sport and Mille Miglia collections. The firm is also highly recognised for its fine watchmaking and manufacture expertise expressed in its LUC collection.
Chopard is strongly committed to various philanthropic organisations in line with its fundamental values for respect and social responsibility.
