Next month’s MEBAA Conference in Marrakech will investigate the challenges and opportunities facing the business aviation market in the region, focusing on specific areas such as cyber security, aircraft financing and investment, FBOs and market analysis.
The event, which takes place on September 11 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, is supported by Morocco’s General Directorate of Civil Aviation.
Morocco’s Minister of Tourism, Air Transport, Crafts and Social Economy Mohammed Sajid will give the keynote address, which will be followed by a keynote presentation by Zouhair El Aoufir, CEO of Office Nationale des Aeroports (ONDA), focusing on Morocco’s business aviation airport project.
“The MEBAA Conference aims to continue the business aviation industry in Morocco to drive forward,” says Ali Al Naqbi, Founding and Executive Chairman of the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA). “The event will provide the attendees with an invaluable insight into many key areas of the industry, while also identifying opportunities for growth. Attendees will leave with a deeper understanding of the market and the tools to grow their businesses in conjunction with the burgeoning market.”
In addition to presentations, other sessions will take the form of interactive panel discussions including: legislation, registration and regulations for the business aviation market in North Africa; risk management and safety management systems; and North Africa’s MRO market and the supply chain.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with key players and industry leaders throughout the day, to discuss specific areas of business aviation, identify opportunities, seek solutions to challenges facing the industry and of course do business.
“The importance of peer discussion and face-to-face business cannot be underestimated throughout Mena,” Alnaqbi continues. “MEBAA aims to provide a platform for these important aspects to the business aviation industry and across the region through the MEBAA Conference series.”
The conference will be followed by the MEBAA Show Morocco, a two-day event at Marrakech Menara Airport.
MEBAA is the official representative of the business aviation industry in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region and is a member of the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC).
As part of its current growth strategy, MEBAA seeks to implement operational safety and efficiency by providing best in-practice training, lectures and conferences, establishing codes of conduct, and providing industry data. Today, MEBAA represents over 254 companies within the MENA region and provides a number of products and services to its members, including MEBAA Insurance, one stop shop. In addition to various networking events, MEBAA hosts the MEBAA Show, which ranks as the third largest business aviation show in the world and MEBAA Show Morocco.
MEBAA Conferences are an integral part of the association’s mission to provide a platform for member discussions and ensure the business aviation community remains at the forefront of this ever changing industry.
Conferences scheduled for 2017 are Morocco (September 11) and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (3-4 October 3 and 4).
